Seating is very cramped. Our waiter was the best, super friendly. Food was very filling. The chef at our table was on the boring side. All the other chefs at the other stations were talking and doing fancy things and ours didn't say anything or do anything fancy other than bang his utensils.

Met up with a couple friends to enjoy the Teppanyaki artistry and enjoy some good food. The food was good and service was great. We found it a bit tricky to carry a conversation and catch up on things, no fault of the venue, just the setup of seating makes this a bit challenging. Otherwise I'd recommend this for a nice family dinner to see some chef do cool tricks while cooking on the flat tops.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for the little humans too.

I've put this off for a while, but it's been bothering me, so here goes.I brought the family here for my mom's birthday (party of 6). My wife had been a few weeks earlier and spoke glowingly of her experience, so we thought this would be a good experience. Ultimately, it was pretty poor. The man taking our order was good. He was friendly and made sure the drinks arrived quickly, which is important as we had two little ones. The real issue started when our cook arrived. In a nut shell, he didn't have much in the way of personality, so the entertainment value was non-existent, which for this type of restaurant, seems wrong.Beyond that, my mom and I requested our steak be cooked medium rare, but the cook left the meat on the grill for way too long...I honestly can't express in words just how long it was on the grill, to the point when it was finally served up, every thing from the steak, to the chicken to the lobster was over cooked. There was zero pink in any of the steak. The chicken was dry to the point of almost being dusty, and I can only imagine how bad the lobster was (it was one the grill the longest of all the proteins). Everything the cook did in front of us food wise was terrible. Terrible! The 2 stars is due to the fact that the food that came from the kitchen was good. The kids seemed to their meal and ice cream. And the birthday song and cake was fun and appreciated.Ultimately, $300 for a meal where all the big money components are terribly over cooked, where the cook actually drags down the mood at the table is pretty unforgivable. I'll not be returning and I suggest you take a pass too, especially if you have a large group.

It's a bit pricy for us. However, it was a fantastic experience. Clean and fun for the entire family!Dietary restrictions: Gluten was well managed.

On a 1/2 price coupon or would be $100+ each with a drink. Not as expected from previous Tepp experiences. Food ok. Performance 2/10. No joy at the table. No interaction with chef. Assembly-line Tepp.Kid-friendliness: Not great but ok.Wheelchair accessibility: Theoretically good, but tables tight.

The food is excellent. The service is so efficient that we ate soup, salad, sushi, rice, vegetables, steak, chicken, scampi, lobster tail and rice in less than an hour. I hasten to add, this was not out of choice. It felt as if we were being timed and cleared for the next table. I understand it is a Friday night but some time between all the food would have been appreciated. My previous experience did not feel as rushed (it was a week night) and, as good as the food is, I am unlikely to return. I need time to savour and enjoy my food, and not feel as if I am rushing against an invisible clock. Our entire table of over 16 people was fed in less than an hour. Barely had the ice cream reached our lips, and the server was there with the check. If you want a LOT of food in the least amount of time, this is the place for you. If you want a relaxed, casual meal, and time to digest, you may want to consider another option.

... first time patron, and had one of the worst service experiences I've had at a restaurant. We were a party of 8, and 6 of us showed up at the time of our reservation (7:30pm on a Saturday), while myself and my wife showed up at 7:40. The 6 that were on time were told on arrival that they could not be seated until the entire party was present. Uh .... what? If a restaurant has such an atypical seating policy, it should be made known at the time of reservation. We were made to wait 30 minutes until we could be seated. Then, we're herded into a room like cattle, and our server seems more intent on setting a record for fastest table turn-over than he is for providing service. While performing the standard "cook show", part of which involves lobbing a piece of cooked veggie at the patrons --- the cook literally sling-shotted broccoli at two of the wives and hit them square in the face. I found this particularly strange, since he lobbed the food to the husbands.... never feels good to have gratuity included in a bill when the service is terrible. The food was decent, but given the abysmal overall experience, I will not return to this location or recommend it.

I had high hopes. Those hopes were first dashed when our group of 3 were placed in a room, which I’m sure used to be a closet beside the bathrooms. There were 9 total in this room. If you ever get seated in this room, I feel sorry for you. It is Smokey and hot. If you are unlucky enough to get seated on the end by the wall, I feel really sorry for you. You can not move, and you can not see anything because of the bottles of sauces for the chef. The wall is right behind you and you literally have no space. The server can’t even get to you with drinks, the person on the corner has to pass them down to you. This is an enclosed room so be prepared to breathe in smoke and smell like the food when you leave. This could all be a little more acceptable if the food was amazing, unfortunately this isn’t the case. We had the starters and they were ok. The calamari was excellent, and the noodles were very good. That’s where it ended. I can make a better steak at home. The chef asked me if I wanted it medium because they had all the orders messed up. I said no I wanted it rare… in fact the way it is now would be perfect I told him. Apparently that means keep cooking it for 5 more minutes until it is overcooked and tough and flavourless. My wife ordered the Deluxe Teppanyaki and by the time the chef got to her there was no chicken left, so she didn’t get any even though it was supposed to be part of the meal. When you charge $60 for a meal—- you don’t screw it up.The best part of the meal was when we paid and walked out of the closet and felt the cool air that all the other customers were able to experience. The server bringing drinks was good even though he also could hardly move in this closet right beside the bathrooms. This is not what I expect for a night out that costs over $300.

Our cook was ok, very little communication or banter. Waited 30min for our reserved table. But food was amazing. Oh also it was my husband and my birthday so we let the hostess know. They charge $10 pp to sing happy birthday give you a crown and a slice of cake (which on their menue $11 gets you 2 slices of cake) so you pay $9 for a crown happy birthday.

Food was decent but the server was very rude and the ice feet that they served had hair in it. How the heck can you get hair in ice cream! The chef was very good though!
