Isabelle Restaurant & Lounge

Just had dinner at Isabelle in Burlington, and wow—what a letdown. I really wanted to love this place because the setting is gorgeous, but the service and food were just not it. First, they brought out a blue cheese salad with chicken, and the chicken looked raw. I mean, visibly pink, not even questionable. We sent it back, and instead of just fixing it, they actually brought it back and told me I was wrong. I’ll let the picture speak for itself—would you eat this? (Posting it here so you can decide.) Then, they completely forgot my appetizer (whipped feta). I reminded them, and when the bill came, they had charged me for two orders. At that point, I was just over it. The place is beautiful, but if the food isn’t right and the service isn’t on point, what’s the point? I really hope they step it up because this place could be amazing, but right now, it’s not worth the hype.

Very good spot. Oysters were super fresh, and the whipped feta was very flavorful. Got the Ribeye and the grilled octopus- both delicious. Negroni and Old Fashioned both made perfect as well.

Our server, Chris, was incredibly friendly and attentive, and well versed on the different menu options.

Also beautiful on the inside.

My friends and I went for a close friend's 40th birthday. The ambiance and scenery was beautiful, warm and classy. It was great for pictures. However, if I go to a restaurant- food is the most important part of the experience. The food here was very disappointing. I initially ordered pasta which was tasty but undercooked. I changed it for the whipped feta appetizer so I wouldn't have to wait long- this tasted no less or better that tim Hortons plain bagel and cream cheese. My friends had the half roasted chicken- which was pink on the inside and lacked flavour. Another friend had the burger with fries which was dry. Everything served had no unique taste - it was just bland!. The service was nothing out of the ordinary. I found the waitress to be very impatient and pushy. I have never posted a negative review for a business but after paying full price for this unenjoyable meal- I felt a responsibility to let others know what they are walking into. If you are going for pictures- it's your spot! If you are hungry and looking for good food- please eat before you go! My friend who was there recommended this restaurant after going for lunch in the summer. She said brunch was amazing so perhaps that might be a better option. She was also disappointed with dinner.

Went for New Year’s Eve. Lamb shank and braised short rib were 10/10. Very impressed.

We had a delicious assortment of the menu . Allison our server was so informative which helped us choose the best menu items for what we wanted .. She made our experience fun and delicious .. loved everything we ordered . Amazing experience and service

The food and service here is amazing .. Allison our server is amazing .. she is so attentive and before you even know you need it she she already has it for you.. wonderful and beautiful experience !!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pearle Hotel in Burlington, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional! The staff were amazing and welcoming. However, the true highlight of our visit was dining at the restaurant!

Isabelle boasts a nice lakeside patio that’s perfect for a relaxed meal with an unforgettable view, great for a date night! The Mediterranean-inspired menu was refreshing and full of flavour! Highly recommend!

What truly elevated our visit at the restaurant, however, was the outstanding service provided by our server Allison! She is an absolute gem—approachable, warm, and full of positive energy. Allison’s deep knowledge of the menu and her enthusiasm for both the restaurant and the local area made our experience even more memorable. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her ability to connect with guests felt genuine and effortless. She’s an incredible ambassador for both Isabelle and Burlington, she made us feel at home!

Steak was cooked to perfection. Medium Rare, on the rare side just the way it should be. The oysters were fresh and delicious !
