Good food and service. Pricey as you have to pay for add-ins such as hash browns, bacon, and etc. This normally comes with your meal at other places. Brunch for 2 people with tax and tip was $85.

It’s always a pleasure to pop in to Isabelle’s at The Pearle Hotel and Spa in Burlington to enjoy the tranquility, lake and food. They were on the brunch menu and busy with some larger tables of 6, 4s and 2s. The restaurant was about half full and hostess confirmed lamb sausages and gluten free toast was available. The server came over within 2 minutes and I ordered immediately and she brought my hot water with lemon within a minute. I enjoyed myself observing everything and noticed it was over 20 minutes that I ordered. Just under 25 minutes my server told me it was coming and it appeared - the Florentine Benedict on Gluten Free with potatoes and the 3 lamb sausages that were a bit spicy. I don’t mind spice so no issue. The eggs were perfect medium, flavourful as well as the sausages fully cooked. So why a 4? The time it took without setting my expectation before, during and after ordering. My suggestions would be letting guests coming in know the time that entrees will take, the server reconfirming it and keeping me updated on status. Checking in every 10 min or so as well. I’m not sure if the cooking line manager and servers/floor manager are in sync. Being half busy I would have expected more speed of delivery and engagement for a single table order. Further the runner/server that brought it out didn’t ask if I’d like anything else on delivery. Another server came over 3 minutes after serving and asked how it was and if I needed anything. Also they should check with the guest that they are ok with spicy sausages. My daughter loves lamb sausages but couldn’t eat those if I brought her so I can’t. It’s a bit of a refined pallet place so all good and thanks. I’ll be back. Cheers, Chris >

Food was delicious, great location, lovely decor, wonderful service. Went on a Sunday evening so it wasn't super busy. The food took much longer than it should. Our bottle of wine was done by the time the food arrived - not good. The frites were not frites - they were big chunks of potatoes that were under cooked.

Nice ambience, especially if you can have a table by the window that overlooking the lake. Non alcoholic beverages are worth trying for those who don't drink. Focaccia is good. No complaints with the pasta dishes we order. It was my birthday celebration there, a bit disappointed our server never acknowledged it.

This was my first time visiting the Isabelle Lounge, and I must say it is an excellent place with a very beautiful view of the lake. The staff in the restaurant were very welcoming and attentive. Our dinner was superb, from the appetizers to the main courses. Our waiter, Matt, checked on us every 5 minutes, refilled our water and other drinks, was very attentive and helped us make great food selections. We ordered mushroom risotto, lobster pasta, halibut, and duck breast. Each dish was not only incredibly delicious but also beautifully decorated and served. We were so impressed that we asked for the names of those who prepared these fantastic dishes. A big thank you to chefs Canny, Sandy, Megan, Jhoni, and Jose - you are a fantastic team with great taste! If I were a food critic and could give you a Michelin star, I would, because you deserve it! Thank you very much for a wonderful dinner; we will definitely return and recommend you to all our friends!

It was my second time at Isabelle and needless to say it was a disappointment, service was slow , the server was clumsy as he dropped cutlery on my friend. We were seated in the corner with an ugly draft from the ceiling while there were many empty tables available. I really wanted to love this place as I suggested the second visit to the group of friends. Food was mediocre service was mediocre.

The actual food was great but the service was terrible. We sat for 30 minutes before being asked if we wanted to order a drink at which point it took another 20 minutes to get our tables drinks. The service was beyond slow. Our server maybe checked in on us 3 times. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our bills after asking several times for them. Overall the atmosphere was nice but the volume inside the restaurant was so loud we couldn't hear one another. The food was exceptional however for that price point I would have also expected exceptional service.

Was excited to take my friend here for her birthday. The decor and mood is lovely. Unfortunately I was really disappointed with the food. Some of the items say “to share” but they really aren’t to share. For the $$$ of the meal it was disappointing. I ordered the duck rigatoni. It was nothing special or jaw dropping. Other friends had the burger and the duck again good but nothing amazing.

I tried all the restaurants from Elora mill, Cambridge Mill, Ancaster mill , Spencer's waterfront and now finally Isabelle lounge. The address online is wrong and spent minutes in finding the location which is a bummer. Plus, the cost of the food is a lot more than Cambridge mill which I go at least once a month. The quality of the food wasn't the best and the tips for the waiver overall my orders was more than an actual entree. It is ridiculous to pay tip for someone o my bro going my plate to my table filling my glass. There was no recommendation, no special of the day... The waiter was busy with everyone else and I didn't get the best service as I usually do going to Cambridge Mill. My order was over $380 for 2 which is ridiculously expensive considering your location, service and quality of food. I'm a regular at Cambridge Mill and I felt like I wasted my money and time coming all the way to Burlington for my husband bday celebration. I am not very happy about the experience. Thanks

You have the best view for Burlington. It’s romantic and airy on the patio. I want to live there in the summer. However, I have been there several times and each time am hopeful. Please please change your food or at least make it flavourful. If I am paying for the view, I want to enjoy my food. The apps and main are not a lot of flavour. If you serve food from a certain culture, master their flavours because that’s what foodies look for. I would bring my whole gang every weekend if you do. I will give it a try again but really hope the menu/ flavours are elevated to meet the ambience.

Would I go again: definitelyFood, service & setting was great. Focaccia to start. Lobster pasta, beef short rib & crispy Brussel sprouts as the main show. It’s a pretty place to be especially being at the Pearle & by the water.

(Dec 2023) The squash donuts were so unique and wonderful! The pasta was also great ! I do wish the portion was a bit bigger for the price you are paying... Still, it's worth it to try !

The restaurant space is beautiful, overlooks the water and is bright and very welcoming but unfortunately, for me, everything else fell short. The food was just ok, but my order did not come as I ordered it. Regular coffee coast $5.25 but was lukewarm at best and service was just okay. For the cost, I didn't not find value. Do not think I will be returning for the brunch.

This was our first time at Isabelle and it was not a good experience. We booked on line (obviously) for 7:30. Were 10 minutes late because of a difficult parking situation. Upon arrival, our greeter at the entrance said we would need to wait for our table. Waited 20 minutes at the entrance. Finally, she lead us to a table for 6. (we were 2). We commented that if she needed to seat another couple with us that she could (the place was packed). She said "That's fine" and smiled. 10 minutes later, after we had ordered our wine, our greeter returned and asked if we would move to another table. She said that our table for 6 had been booked by a group with the same last name (Very doubtful). We moved and asked for our wine to be comped. Our greeter didn't bother to communicate our request to our waiters. (There were 3). Then the noise-undoubtedly the noisiest venue we have ever visited. Incredibly loud house music, pounding, excessive-and then people screaming. It was impossible to talk and I couldn't hear the waiter. The food was very good. Will we return.? Not unless a manager reads this reviews and offers to make us feel better about dining at Isabelle.

It's always an absolute exceptional experience and service when dining at Isabelle. From the hosts welcome, server and staff checking in on you and always making sure you're taken care of. Chris our server did a fantastic job, as well as other staff we came in contact with during the night. Highly recommend this restaurant if you haven't been! :)
