This place serves fantastic sea food. I ordered the Tuna Tatatki app and was blown away at the freshness of the Tuna. The muscles are flavourful and you get a very generous portion with 2 thick cut slices of grilled bread. The shrimp they serve are the biggest i’ve seen.Highly recommend to the seafood lovers out there.

Very dissapointed. We took the kids fish and chips and cheeseburger, ribs and steamed mussels with spicy tomato sauce.Pros: the portions are pretty big and the service (as much as it was, because we ordered to take-out) was great.The fish was good (a little too sweet for my taste, but this is on me).Cons: the ribs were dry (seemed to have been made a day before and reheated, sauced and served). The fries were almost burnt, but not cooked all the way. I didn't get any kind of slaw, only a spoon of beans.The mussels were too spicy and salty, so spicy that we could barely feel the taste of mussels.Overall not a good experience and the chances for us to go there again are close to 0.

One of the best seafood places I have ever dined in? then and that says a lot I come from Africa coast the lobster, the chicken the mussel The pasta I cannot stress this place enough I’ve been searching for a seafood place for so long, and I cannot believe I didn’t know about this place, The only disadvantage Is that I am 33 and this place has been open for 84 I cannot wait to come back just so I can taste the sweet savoury mussel And tomato sauce Hats off to the chef staff

We had a great first experience here.The food was excellent. The oysters were nicely shucked. The presentation and flavours of oyster condiments was quite brilliant. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived - without a reservation. I advise not making this mistake. It's a fairly large place but deservedly popular. My kids were happy with the kids' menu options and portion sizes.I also appreciated the diverse whisky and beer selection. ? It's always nice and all too rare to see Lagavulin 16, thanks for that!My only nit-pick is that the cappuccino lacked flavour. I'll be sure to sort that out next time, over more oysters, crab, and Lagavulin.Great job, Jake's!Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu options, with large portions.

Hadn’t been here in several yrs and just went last night for the second time…WOW!! First of all, the service is wonderful. Lorraine was our server and she was friendly, attentive and efficient! The fish and chips was the best we ever had!! I couldn’t even finish mine! Last time I had the lobster roll and OMG, it was better than we’ve had in the East Coast! Tons of big lobster chunks and the bun is to die for! The seafood chowder is a must! So so yummy! This is our new go-to place now. So many restaurants have gone downhill with service and food and prices have gone up. Jake’s is very reasonable priced for what you get and service and atmosphere is top notch!Thanks guys and see you soon :)

Found this on google and wanted to give this seafood restaurant a try! We went on a Wednesday evening and it was busy! I would suggest making a reservation to guarantee a table. The service was great from the host to our server. The food was good but not amazing. The baked oysters and calamari were tasty. The lobster roll was okay. There were chunks of lobster but I found this a little bland. The sandwich was on the small side considering it was $40 so I do not recommend this. The lobster linguine in tomato cream sauce was really good and probably my favorite dish. This was $45. I get that it's seafood and pricier but the portion could have been more generous. The atmosphere is neat with cool trinkets but I found the lighting too dark. Overall, it was a good restaurant with fresh seafood and friendly service.
