I picked up an order of fish and chips I was so excited only to discover that it was not properly cooked so the inside is completely mushy I’m including a photo I also was given some kind of dip but it wasn’t tartar sauce so I couldn’t even enjoy dipping my fries in it

Cockroach ran across the back of the booth seat behind the person I was dinning with. Tried to catch it with my napkin but,it go away. Food was subpar before the cockroach and could not think about eating anything after that.

The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the friendly waitress we had today, and the location, near the lake and we were seated on the patio which was nice, the inside looked decent too. But i wouldn't return for the food. I ordered the crab cake, it was a decent size, but I doubt coleslaw is usually served warm? And the crab cake itself was BARELY WARM, felt like it was sitting out or barely re-heated in a microwave. NOT HOT AND CRNCHY like a crab cake should be. Very few options to choose from on the menu as well. On top of that, the menu had remnants of other ppls' food on it. My stepdaughter ordered the crab mac-n-cheese that had FAKE crab meat but cost $26.00. Not to mention we received cutlery in a dirty napkin. Maybe try your luck but as for me, NOPE.

We have been going to Loch Side periodically since they opened and have had mostly good or very good experiences but today was excellent! Best food we have ever had and our service is always excellent.

Was looking forward to dinner there after all the good things I heard. Asked for Sparkling Elderflower, they had no Elderflower. Asked for the 1lb Mussels, they ran out of mussels. Asked for a decaf coffee after our meal but ran out of decaf coffee. Our server was great, and I felt really bad for her. What we did have was good. Not sure I will ever go back.

My husband and I came in yesterday and saw the reviews and wanted to give it a try as I don’t see many Scottish restaurants around (at least where we live).We ordered the crab cake, Cajun chicken pasta and pulled pork sandwich. The food is delicious and the service is good. The only thing that was a little bit off was that the coleslaw that was served with the crab cake was brown. I brought it up to the manager and the server and they fixed it right away and gave us another salad. The drinks are really good at this place as well. If you haven’t been here then you definitely need to give it a try!

Tried this place finally- but never again. Tried the 19.00 crab cake.... Real crab plus fake crab plus not fresh really turned us off and won't return. Even asked staff before ordering if it was real with no mention of fake... it was nasty!!

First time here! Our server Michelle gave us a wonderful experience with her genuine and caring service. Food was great and served very fast and hot. I ordered the Cesar Kale salad it was huge and delicious with a homemade dressing. Pulled pork burger was delicious also. Great collective arts beer and cocktail as well. Thank you Michelle for a wonderful afternoon experience. We will be returning again soon thanks to our server and the kitchen!

Drove to our Burlington favorite hangout city near the lake. Was looking for a place to have dinner. Found this hidden gem right across from the lake. Ordered a strawberry salad and added delicious large garlic shrimp to the meal. My spouse had the Quinoa burger awesome ! What a delight. Food was delicious and filling. Service was great as well. Awesome area for shade on a hot day and beautiful scenery of the Lakeshore.. Only thing I could say was to have inside air conditioning option and prices a bit more reasonable..

We ordered burgers and they were huge with homemade patties and by far the most delicious burgers we have ever had! On top of all that our server Michelle was amazing! She made me the best margarita I have ever had and it wasn’t even in the menu. By far the best customer service we have received in the last 25 years I hope this woman is commended for her customer connections she is a fantastic human! We will definitely be back.

Steak Frites served with a plastic tub of ketchup with no veggies but ketchup. Crab burger was ok but again needs some veggie side not just a plate of salty fries. Service was good, but food not. Even the menu asks you to tip the kitchen $5 ? presentation of food wasn’t worth the prices they are charging. Won’t be back.

Tried to make a booking on line at this restaurant and was unable to do so . When I called the man ( I won’t call him a gentleman ) who answered the phone was quite abrupt .He told me he had disabled the on line booking option …though it did not say as much online ? Then he told me he would not take a reservation from me as 8 was too many people . Very rude, I have never eaten here and, I never will .

Came to this restaurant after looking at the menu online as it had some good options and was decently priced. When we arrived we got seated right away but wasn’t brought any water or greeted by a server for quite a long time. Another couple came in shortly after us and was brought water and greeted by a server right away and they hardly even finished sitting down yet. I was looking around waiting for a server to come around and take our order and hopefully get some water but it still didn’t happen. The employees were near but seemed to be chatting. I was about to leave when a server finally came and brought us some water and took our order. None of the three things I was interested in ordering from the online menu were actually on the menu when we went. So I had to settle for the pulled pork sandwich. I didn’t like it at all as it was super watery and completely fell apart when I bit into it. The garden salad I got on the side was also less than mediocre. The server that did end up coming was very nice though and the place was nice looking. Such a shame the food wasn’t that great.

We came by because the area is a great location and the interior looked nice. I thought I would have the quinoa burger as my vegan option but they said it wasn’t vegan due to egg being in the patty. I got the quinoa salad instead without halloumi but I’m not sure where the quinoa was. Just wilted spinach salad for $17.50. All of us at the table didn’t finish our meals. Ketchup came in plastic ramekins… My friends said the crème brûlée was awful. The cocktails had melted ice, no taste and laughable garnishes. The restaurant was completely empty so there was no reason the kitchen and bartender couldn’t do a great presentation on our meals and drinks. Unfortunately, there would be no reason for us to come back.

Great food, great service!Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday. Service was fantastic, so we ended up drinking more than planned and paid for it the next day.The menu has a perfect mix of apps and mains for this type of setting, without being too fancy or exotic for the sake of it.
