Loondocks was a pleasant surprise in Burlington. When you enter you are met with a homey feel with pictures of cottages and canoes and loons everywhere. They had unique cocktails and the Loondocks Cab Nero wine from Pilliteri estates was delicious. The food was also very nice. I had the tiger shrimp risotto and my husband had the filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection and had a lovely presentation. I was celebrating my birthday but was too full for dessert ap they sent me home with a piece of cheesecake to enjoy. Excellent friendly service from the owner who also moved our table to a quieter spot away from louder groups. Highly recommended.Parking: Open lot in a plaza, but the windows if the restaurant have dark shades drawn gor a better ambiance.

We have been to Loondocks several times, and have always enjoyed it. IMO it is a but pricey - dinner, drinks, dessert for three just under 400 w tip. But the food is very good and the service very attentive. Flourless chocolate cake very dense. Otherwise, enjoy !!

My wife and I went out for dinner just because it was Wednesday night. We shared crab cakes and had Lamb Wellington and Ontario Porchetta for mains. Service was friendly and efficient, but the environment was not inviting or warm, however, the food tasted good. Unfortunately, the following day both my wife and I developed gastrointestinal issues. When I called the restaurant, I spoke to the person who had served us and she remembered us. I said that I was calling to give her a heads-up on our issue. I was expecting to hear her say, "Thanks for the information, I hope you feel better soon and I will inform the chef and hope to see you back soon". However, she informed me that no one else had called to report such an issue and continued to inform me that there was a lot of flu going around and that was what our problem was. I am not a stranger to the hospitality industry and commercial kitchens so I find the response unacceptable and I cannot give a favorable rating to food that I believe made us ill and a put down on our issue. I give a toast to dining at home.

First valentine day living in Burlington to find such a restaurant out here is amazing. Loondocks is a dining experience that I expect downtown Toronto. Both my wife and I have food allergy concerns they were able to make substitutes for gluten, nuts and dairy this made our dining choices on a valentines day fix menu amazing. The staff treated us well in all aspects of our dining experience. Loondocks is a must if you are in the Burlington area. Hope you enjoy I it did
