Mikado Japanese Restaurant

Mediocre at best. Ordered the shrimp teriyaki. Basically boiled shrimp and sauce on top. The salads were too cold and too much vinegar.

Japanese food is my top choice and very fave ... it's a letdown the food, sadly!
Not going back!

The food here is very fresh and authentic! Really friendly and prompt service and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Best sushi I’ve ever had! Service was fast, cozy environment and very fresh fish ! Prices were also reasonable .

I just love this restaurant so I am providing an update.

There is a lot of variety on the menu, and the presentation of the food is always professionally done with care, and it always tastes fresh and delicious. The service is always friendly, warm and welcoming. I love the decor of the restaurant, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We never feel rushed to eat, and leave, even if there are people waiting for tables.

My husband and I dined there about 2 weeks ago, we ordered the Explorer’s Boat , and our server Amanda was very nice, respectful and provided exceptional service. She suggested we try the Omakase next time but they require a few days notice. We definitely will be back for that !

Mikado has always been our favourite Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We have dined there many times over the last 8 years.

It’s a small intimate restaurant, with nice decor, and they have approx 10 tables. They also have an outdoor patio open when the weather is nice. So it’s preferable to make a reservation if you don’t want to wait for a table.

The food is always presented very nice, it’s fresh and delicious, and the servers are always friendly, courteous and professional.

I definitely recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Came to this restaurant on a Thursday evening with my husband and baby. We were seated immediately.

The sushi was delicious. There are a ton of options, which can make it difficult to choose. Highly recommend the lobster and chicken kaarange.

The server, who I think is the owner, was so friendly and playful with my baby. It helped make for smoother dining experience.

They don’t accept solo diners, even though today isn’t a weekend and the restaurant isn’t full. There are plenty of empty tables outside. They used the excuse of being too busy to ask me to leave. I’m very disappointed

The quality food here was absolutely amazing. I had the sashimi combo with mixed fish and rice and every single bit of it was delicious. I am definitely comign back. The staff was also very friendly, happy, and observative. 10/10 experience

Coming back from a 30 days road trip, we stop at this very nice restaurant. Great service, Great food, great energy, reasonable pricing. I strongly recommend it.

Just a lovely place, food is great, service is very kind, and the atmosphere is unique. Would recommend Chicken Katsu, although warning: the sauce is already on top if you don’t like it :)
