Had lunch there yesterday. An explosion of flavor combined with perfectly cooked ingredients equals THE BEST FILIPINO FOOD this side of Toronto (but don't tell my Mother). The key will be to see if they can consistently do it?
My son in law referred me to this restaurant which I didn’t know existed; it’s only a 6- minute drive away from the house. So after Sunday service, hubby and I ate lunch here. The restaurant was still empty, it’s clean, well lit and all the food was displayed nicely. Looking into the already cooked food, turo turo style, you just place your order one at a time. Walking along the Mountainside trail, my local Filipino restaurant is a beacon for a nice, casual snack or meal. It feels warm and festive in there, with the staff always smiling and polite. It is lively with families enjoying their Kamayan style meals on weekends. The food is consistently delicious. Their empanadas have become a staple at our house and at parties. Catering available!
