Food was very good. Service was very good. Great location on the Lakeshore in Burlington. Why no Canadian wines? Why do you have American wines?

The food was excellent. The dessert was even better. Overall, fun vibes. Service did their best, seemed friendly, but when we got there, we were only provided with 1 menu to a table of 6 and said they'd try to see if they could find another. We ended up getting a couple more, but still. Also, I'm not a fan of all the upsells. Tabasco sauce is free, but they charge $2.50 for a side of their other hot sauce. You can't order a chicken wrap at dinner without it costing a other $5 to upgrade. You could order a side of pita for $2.50. Silly things that could improve the experience overall if they were a given like most other restaurants.

had dinner and dessert here tonight. By far the best chicken in town! And the homemade desserts, to die for!

Food very good. But we went for take out wraps about 12:40 pm and after order was taken, were told by gentleman behind the bar that our order was taken from a lunch menu and their 'lunch time' was over! And we had to order from the 'dinner' menu (and more expensive)! But, it WAS lunch time! AND, we had recently been there with friends and around 12:50 had placed our order from their lunch menu with no problem. Most restaurants have lunch hour until about 2:00 pm, NOT ending before 1:00! So, we suspect the man telling us we couldn't order from lunch menu was misinformed and we walked out shaking our heads in disbelief, never to return to this establishment!

Came here for a birthday dinner. Staff were lovely , food was tasty but it is expensive. An app, pita bread and mocktail cost $32 .

Very generous portions for what you pay for. Incredible atmosphere- especially during the summer months- and fantastic service!

The food here never disappoints. The grilled octopus is some of the best we've ever had. You can't go wrong with just about everything on this menu from starters to mains and even the desserts are all delicious. If you are in the area, this place won't disappoint.

Disappointing Experience at Nisi – Won’t Be Returning

Last night, my wife and I decided on a last-minute dinner at Nisi in Burlington. I had been there once before with my family, who are regulars and have generally had good experiences. This was my wife’s first visit, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment from start to finish.

Shortly after receiving her chicken souvlaki, my wife discovered a hair in the food. We immediately notified our server, Melissa, who was incredibly professional and apologetic. She promptly removed the dish and offered to have it remade, but understandably, my wife had lost her appetite for it. Melissa was the one highlight of the evening—attentive, kind, and clearly doing her best to manage a difficult situation.

The manager on duty, a young man named Emilio, came by to apologize and offered to remove the souvlaki from our bill (which, frankly, is the bare minimum given she had barely taken two bites). He asked if he could bring something else, and my wife requested a small portion of gyro and a side Greek salad. He mentioned there would be a small charge—fair enough.

What wasn’t fair was discovering a $25 charge for that “small replacement” on our bill—just $2 shy of a full entrée price. When a manager says he needs to “check with the kitchen” to provide a modest substitute after a kitchen mishap, it already feels like customer care is not the priority. That suspicion was confirmed when we received the bill.

We asked to speak with the owner. What followed was an incredibly frustrating exchange. The owner, who is also the chef (and, by the way, wasn’t wearing a hair net), was defensive and dismissive. He repeatedly interrupted us while we calmly explained our disappointment. His response: “We don’t give food away for free,” and “What would you like me to do?”—as though it was unreasonable to expect a bit of goodwill after being served a contaminated dish.

To add to the inauthentic feel of the place: the “Greek” salad included red cabbage and was clearly from a bag—hardly traditional or fresh. It’s worth noting, as others may care, that the restaurant is not owned or run by anyone of Greek heritage, which is perhaps why the food and the customer service feel far from authentic.

All in all, this was a poor experience that left us feeling dismissed and disappointed. We won’t be returning—and we’ll be sure to let others know to temper their expectations. The only positive was our server, Melissa, who was wonderful throughout and deserves better support from her management team

We had the absolute best time celebrating a birthday at this restaurant with a large group, and everything was incredible from start to finish. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, and the service truly made the night unforgettable.

A huge shoutout to Melissa, our server, who went above and beyond! She was kind, helpful, and incredibly efficient — managing our big group with ease and a warm smile the entire time. What really stood out was how genuinely engaging she was. We had so many great conversations with her, and she made everyone feel welcome and special. It honestly felt like she was part of the celebration.

If you're looking for a spot to host a group or celebrate something special, look no further. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be asking for Melissa again!
