My absolute favorite restaurant. True Mexican flavor on the sophisticated side. Love the margaritas there!

This place is absolutely amazing.
I have Celiac and there are SO many gluten-free options!
My absolute favorite is the crispy fried fish tacos.
The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly and this place has turned into my favorite restaurant in the city. All of the margaritas are amazing but their hibiscus is by far the best one.
You could order anything and not be disappointed here.

The parking is not good same as the food idk why this restaurant is 4,7 star also it’s very pricey not worth it :( I’m sorry but I’m strongly recommending them to change a menu and improve their tacos

This restaurant and their authentic, everything made in house, spectacular food makes me wish I lived in Burlington. From their chips with guacamole to their amazing tacos and desserts, this restaurant is a must visit when in Burlington. Can’t wait to come back to Pepe and Lela’s

Amazing food and service, a little on the pricier side, but most plates are shareable. Everything is scratch made and you know the owners have a real passion for their cuisine. Real warm and inviting atmosphere, all the staff were incredible as well.

Such a fantastic experience every time we come here! The food is always delicious and Amanda is so friendly we loved having her as a server. Chips and guac + margarita combo is 10/10!!!!!

Made reservations for an early dinner and enjoyed our time here. Had some chips and salsa and I wanted more chips after. The pork and beef tacos were delicious (think I preferred the beef, you could tell it was high quality). Followed by delicious churros. I would return. The only thing I found odd is their inconsistent pricing. Some things were priced reasonably and some felt over priced. Despite this, I was happy with my meal!

Had the lamb tacos. Great flavor, but need to use 2 tortillas. Churros were amazing!

Wonderful first visit (not our last) to this delightful restaurant. We were a group of 18 ( at 3 separate tables) Lunch Menu had a lot of variety to appeal to any palate. Our table started with Margaritas ( several options- classic, blood orange, mango, etc.) and a bowl of their homemade guacamole and chips. Delish! The classic Margarita is made with freshly squeezed lime juice.
Our table of 4 opted for a selection of menu items including the tortilla soup, mango salad, and fish tacos. Everything arrived in a timely manner .
Cappuccino and churros rounded off our meal.
Every dish was amazing - both in taste and presentation. There were so many little sauces - all made in house and served on the side.
Our server, Amanda, made our visit remarkable! She is such an incredible ambassador for this establishment. She was able to make helpful suggestions ,explain the heat factor, etc.. One of my companions offered to adopt her!

The food was good but I felt deceived. First, the tacos were not served on blue corn tortillas, as indicated on the menu. Second, I found it astronomically over-priced ($25 for only two tacos comes out to a ridiculous $12.50 PER TACO). Third, the server kept trying to up-sell us which was off-putting and took away from the experience. I was also disappointed that they did not offer any free birthday desserts like all other restaurants I've been to.

Overall, not a terrible experience but I definitely had higher expectations after reading all the other positive reviews.

Another fabulous feature! Tonight I had the steak platter for 2 and it was to die for! It’s a BBQ flank steak perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection sliced up and you assemble on a soft taco with a variety of authentic Mexican toppings to enjoy! Very well done! Also you need to try their premium margaritas with Don Julio tequila, what a game changer, best margarita I’ve ever had!

Such a fun place. Fresh ingredients, tasty dishes, family owned. They are known for their fruity Margaritas. We had the Pineapple Margarita. The Mushroom Fundido - sooo cheesy. Cochinita Tacos - fresh and flavourful. Flourless Chocolate Cake and Mexican Hot Chocolate to finish. Our sever, Amanda was wonderful. Highly recommend.
