Pepe and Lela's Eatery

Had the most delicious biweekly lunch today with two friends. We all agreed this was the best lunch we have experienced in a very long time. Our server Sam was wonderful. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable making our lunch even more enjoyable. The Chef did a superb job of not only preparing it but presentation was lovely. The Chef is also a Pastry Chef and the desserts were proof of her talent. Wonderful choice of desserts and we ordered three and shared. Do yourself a favour and go here for a meal either lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a great experience.

My partner and I's go-to's at Pepe and Lela's are the Mango Jicama Salad, Cajun Crispy Sweet Potato Fries, and Arrachera Grilled Beef Tacos. I vaguely remember an order of the Arrachera Grilled Beef Tacos came in 3, but the last time we visited, we only got 2. That was a bit disappointing. Overall, the customer service is attentive, and it's evident they put a lot of love and care into the food and space!

Very welcoming intimate atmosphere. The owner greeted us and chatted with us sharing stories about his family. The waitress was full of good suggestions and genuinely cared about making sure our experience was a good one. We will defiantly visit again and bring other family members who will enjoy this gem as much as we did.

The food was very good. It was authentic. I had beef tacos. They are two for $27, which is exorbitant. I asked to have one beef, and one lamb taco, but they couldn’t accommodate that. They brought my $15 glass of Malbec, ice-cold. When I questioned them on it, to their credit, they brought me a glass at room-temperature. The servers did great work, but the prices indicated fine dining, not “roadhouse”. Great food, but very limited supper menu. Prices for fine-dining. Food and service? Great Roadhouse, but not at fine-dining prices. Pass…

I had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh and perfectly made. Their seasonal menu and drinks were incredible, with so much attention to flavour and presentation. Our server, Amanda, was amazing - super friendly and made the whole experience even better. You can tell she really cares about her guests. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and great service. This was our second time here and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing evening out with delicious food, excellent service and modern Mexican inspired ambiance. Our server crafted our entire meal to arrive on point, with special attention to flavours and textures. The fish tacos were superb, and the Tres leches + Mexican coffee were the perfect ending to a very satisfying meal. Thank you for making our anniversary memorable and special. <3

Recently visited the place and while the atmosphere was really nice and the restaurant looked nice inside and outside, the food was okay. The waiters were even friendly and I appreciated that the all ingredients were fresh and locally sourced I think.

The drinks margaritas came in this fancy little cactus glass which I thought was the cutest thing ever. The pumpkin spice tees leche cake was fantastic, the tacos and the house chips though didn’t slap. (Their homemade salsa did though)

The food was delicious, the service was ok, and the atmosphere was nice. A couple of things, the salsa felt like it should have been included as part of the chips, why charge an extra 6 or 7$ just for salsa? And secondly the overall price point just felt a bit high for the quantity of food. The quality was excellent. But overall I’d give the meal a 4/5.

All I can say is WOW!!
The first thing we noticed was a very cheerful busboy looking guy chatting up with all the guests and I thought “how nice” only to find out he was the owner. Simple , casual and genuinely happy to see and chat with everyone. Not just about the meal but about you. It was nice

The margaritas were to die for . Made from real liquefied fruits I got the mango and my husband got the spicy margarita.

We got the jicama and mango arugula salad. The name says it all

And the tortilla soup let me tell you….. we go to Mexico 2-3 times a year and this was the best I’ve ever had!

All the food was amazing and this will for sure be a staple place for us to go. What a fun environment!

The place was so cute, the ambience is real nice and they were playing Mexican classics. I would recommend the Fundidos, they are super tasty and real cheesy and they come with 8 tortillas. Our server was Amanda, she was one of the friendliest servers I have ever encountered. Always made sure we were doing okay. Big props to her
