Better than many of the reviews suggest. It was a busy night but the service was excellent. Our meals were served in good time and we enjoyed them very much (I had the mussels). The only slight constructive criticism I can provide is that it seemed like the Caesar salad was dressed too long before serving - it was a little limp. Otherwise we enjoyed our evening and won’t hesitate to come back. Overall decent value given that the prices everywhere at all restaurants have increased.

We frequently visit this neighborhood restaurant with friends and family, as well as ourselves alone. It is ready to comply with special needs.

My husband and I used to frequent Pepperwood a lot when we started dating 20 years ago. We decided to go back for a fun evening out. Bad decision. The service was sub par at best. The staff were very lack luster in their greetings and general interest in us as customers. The food was decent. We just decided on the mussels and calamari to share. Portions were huge. As appetizers they could have been smaller and less expensive but that’s being overly picky. Unfortunately we won’t be going back. Sometimes we have to leave the past where it belongs.

Wonderful location to stop in before or after a walk at Spencer Smith park & waterfront. Sit on the patio or dine in, this is a unique place with a great selection of food and wine!

My daughter lives in Toronto And I live in Welland. We meet in Burlington every now and then for a meal and catch up on things. Today we met at Pepperwoods for Brunch. I had pea meal Benedict. My daughter had the Kona pizza. Both were less than adequate. The pea meal was tuff to cut let alone chew. The pizza crust was like it was made two days before. $60 not well spent!!

My wife and I popped into Pepperwood Bistro Brewery & Catering to kill some time as we were waiting for friends and relatives to meet us on the boardwalk. The manager showed us to a nice booth and menus served up pretty quickly. The staff were friendly enough and prompt. Waters delivered and menus in tow. We didn't have a whole lot of time, so I opted for the shrimp tacos - very good. The shrimp were of a good size, they were spicy and hot. I could have gone for a 2nd round of those. Staff were friendly. My wife had the bruschetta flatbread and said it was also very good – it was truly overloaded with tomatoes. I'd recommend for meeting friends, family, casual eating and dining.

Went last night just for a casual night out- something different - - it's roughly 630 - place not overly busy- walked in and - older guy at the desk - asked if we could sit outside- no hi , how are you said this way dropped menu and left - then came the server - again no hi , how are you said ill be back to get drink order - ever have the feeling when your not welcome and interrupted something else going on - food not the greatest - service not the greatest - would I come back - meh - we can't always blame things on a staff shortage- maybe try being polite - somewhat like you care about having customers - no customers equals no money - remember that - a few simple words can go a long way and bring customers back - food quality - will bring customers back - to the server - sorry for not tipping but please remember if you want that 15 to 25 percent cash you have to at least act that you care

Excited to see beet salad back on the menu. However very thinned sliced beets on a bed of greens with about a tablespoon of walnuts left us very disappointed. The dressing was flat. The only taste was oil which coated our mouth and lips. For those people who like beet salad… you really like beets .. so either canned or prepared slivered beets aren’t going to do it. Chunks .. roasted.. please add goat cheese and maybe some shaved carrots to jazz up the plate for colour. Also Prosecco is a fun easy drink ladies like … yours is sweet I see some new cocktails on the menu .. maybe add some fun Prosecco ones that aren’t so sweet

Recently visited this bistro for dinner. Inside is a fairly nice, comfortable place with a combination of curved booths, tables and a bar. They seemed to have different paper menus for food, drinks, cocktails, specials so it was a little confusing at first. Salads were okay, and the dinners were good, but nothing fantastic. Service was friendly and food came out quite quick. Overall, a nice meal but average.

I’ve been to Pepperwood bistro a few times now and have enjoy the food every single time. It is a consistently well run quality restaurant in the perfect location.

My girlfriend and I went for brunch Saturday September 17. The waitress was good, the food was poor but the manager was the worst. My scrabble eggs were cold and rubbery. I told the waitress who apologized and brought more eggs. The new eggs were equally as inedible so I didn’t eat either. The manager came over and said he’d been told we weren’t happy with the food. His response to my comments re the eggs was “they’re liquid eggs”. I asked what those were. He said they don’t use fresh eggs, they buy cartons of liquid eggs. I said, “ wow, I’ve never heard of that”. His response was “ they’re liquid eggs so that’s fine”. He then turned and walked away. That was it. There was no apology. No offer of toast instead or something like that. My girlfriend told him her fruit wasn’t fresh. He said it was. It clearly wasn’t. I didn’t ask for any compensation but they did take a whopping $4 off the bill. DO NOT HAVE BRUNCH HERE.

The most horrendous meal we have ever had at a restaurant. Went for brunch. Ordered Montreal bagel platter. Came with stale no frills dempsters bagel with 3-day old fruit salad thrown on a plate with cream cheese and accompaniments in plastic takeout containers. No pride at all taken in presentation or food quality. My husband’s meal no better. Eggs and inedible sausages that tasted like something you would get at a 2-star all you can eat chain hotel breakfast buffet. Disgusting.

2 thumbs up!!!! Excellent service and delicious food. Located optimally with a Great Lake view and people watching capability. Our waitress, Meghan was great.

Four of us lunched here recently on a beautiful day. We had a table on the patio right at street-side and it was generally ok; however, the Harleys and some of the cars to make a LOT of noise and this does take away from the atmosphere. However, the service was fine, and the food was quote good! We had a Caprese salad with chicken added, fish and chips, crab cakes and a chicken quesadilla. We would go back, but would sit either inside or closer to the building.
