Sought this place out for the first time as I was craving a Donair. I ordered the combo which came with a “side” salad that was about twice as big as what I was expecting for a side. I decided to indulge with a piece of almond baclava as well. The food and service with both excellent. Note that they only accept cash. Highly recommended and will definitely be back!
Always great.
I have loved coming here for over 20 years!
Not bad shawarma, just not supper fresh meat..
My boyfriend has been coming here 30 years, he brought me here for my first time. I have been all over the province and have tried many donairs however, the food here is exceptional and the staff are absolutely fantastic! The service is great, the shop is clean and inviting, and the donairs are spectacular, a must try for anyone in the Burlington and surrounding area.
I had a craving for a Donair and one of the places I had not had a chance to try was no longer in business. My search came up with Sammy’s Donair.
Sammy’s was clean, had a great atmosphere and great service.
After I received my Donair and paid for it, the bill came to around $15 without a drink.
I had three issues with the Donair. I couldn’t find any tomatoes on it, so I went back after a few bites. The server behind the counter graciously added tomatoes and more sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce was quite bland, and the pita was quite dry.
Love these guys great food at a great price.
Not as good as Nova Scotia, meat is salty
Always a great donair, a little expensive but well worth it. They been in Burlington for over 30 years so that tells you

Gone way downhill....the last time I came here for donair I've was disappointed but thought I'd give them another try. I've now realized that they aren't what they used to be.,...and this time is the last time I'll pay $20 for a chintzy donair.
Buddy doesn't put any pride into his food anymore......microwaves the meat in a bowl, plops the sauce on a pita, puts hardly any onions/tomatoes & its so messy, I just ate the meat off the pita and threw the rest in the trash.
I guess $20 isn't enough for someone to put a little care into their "art"...... assembled as well as s big mac from McDonalds.

Best chicken or beef donair in the Burlington area.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian wrap and hummus dishes.
Parking: Lots of parking
Kid-friendliness: I think a lot of high school kids go there! My kids told me about it when they were in high school.

If you’re looking for something different , unlike anything you have have ever eaten before, come to Sammy’s.
We started going there in 1995 and have not stopped. The decor is pretty much the same and the owners still need the food fresh and their special secret sauce never tastes different.
I mean is cut to perfection. If you’re a foodie and you like street food handheld wraps or sandwiches you must try Sammy‘s donair.
I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to do a review..

I hate to have to write this review as I’ve been going to Sammy’s for nearly 40 years. Had lunch there today and the donair was not good. The meat was dry and the sauce was far too sweet. For years the flavour of the sauce was perfect, why they would change it I don’t know. They no longer shave the meat off the rotisserie in front of you so it looks cooked some time in advance then microwaved. I paid $20 for a small donair and a chocolate milk, I would gladly have paid this if the food quality was what it was a few short years ago. Disappointing all the way around, won’t be back.

I found this place 15 years ago, still has the best donair I've ever had. I say it's worth the drive, wherever you're coming from.
Lacked flavor in the meat, it was a VERY mild taste...., very mild taste...
But not bad either.. if you're in the area
