Sea Shanty Fish & Chips

Quality not consistent. Have had some great meals here but recent experience has often been too oily and sometimes tough, rubbery fish instead of soft and flaky. I really wish you the best but it's hard as a customer to pay the high prices and then not enjoy the meal.

It’s great to come to a family business like this. Ordered the Halibut and chips. $20.95. Average price for Burlington.
The fries were perfect “Fish and Chips” fries. The Halibut and batter was great. Flaky and flavourful. Not flat like it’s been frozen forever. More fish than batter, which is a nice change compared the H-H__se
I was a bit disappointed by the size of the fish. I left feeling I was shrink-flationed. I’d actually pay for two because it was so good. Next time perhaps.
Oh, I hope you like the Beatles..Paul McCartney, because they sure do lol.

We randomly found this place while looking for fish and chips in Burlington and saw it was rated best in 2024 and honestly, it totally lived up to it. The vibe inside is really chill with music, comfy sofas and chairs, and cool photos on the walls. The service was awesome too. The staff helped us with the menu and recommended the halibut with chips, which was amazing. Their in-house tartar sauce was so good. Super glad we ended up here, definitely one of the better fish and chips spots I’ve tried.

Really impressed with my experience at Sea Shanty fish and chips, it’s so nice to be able to go to a locally owned restaurant, there aren’t too many of them left in Burlington. Food was fantastic, portion was great, I will definitely return.

I was craving some fish and chips. There are few places for this around Dundas Street but I checked Google and ‘found’ the Sea Shanty was nearby. Since it was Friday I ordered ahead for pick up at 5:30. Goody, a pleasant person, took my order. When I arrived I stated my name and was immediately greeted warmly, presented with my order, and wished a good evening. Fish and chips were very good and all in all an excellent experience. Good reason for their 2025 award!

Finally tried this hidden gem in Burlington. Outstanding service right from the get go—warm reception and very posh fish n chips place. Obviously we tried their famous fish n chips and also the ‘chicharon’ style wings and both didn’t disappoint. Ambiance, great food, and most importantly fantastic service—a must try. Will certainly come back and highly recommended. Pinoy pride!🙌🏻

We were a bit skeptical that a small restaurant in a plaza would live up to the reviews it got, but we had nothing to worry about. The halibut was so tasty, the batter was perfect, and the owner went out of his way to get our drinks right, and service was so good, and the price was reasonable too. We will definitely be going back again!
