My in laws got their cake from here over 25 years ago and it was destiny that our cake had to be from here too. Lana and Joanna were very organized. They had a binder of all our communications. They helped me go over the options and make the right choices. They made suggestions to have a smaller cake but add a slab cake on so the cake would survive the trip to the venue at the polish banquet hall. When Nick and myself cut into the cake and took our first bites, I was blown away. This was the best cake and everyone kept going on about how amazing the cake was. Thank you for helping make our cake the talk of the night. 10/10 get all your cakes here.

I am so happy to have discovered Sinful Desserts in Burlington! I was looking for a suitable birthday cake for our grandson's first birthday. I had ordered a slice of one of their cakes for dessert at Lowville Bistro (in Lowville), which was sublime. A white chocolate cake with raspberry puree and a feather light vanilla sponge.
Lana the owner, (along with her husband) could not have been more helpful with suggestions for the size and design on top of the cake. I collected the cake from their convenient location (Walker's Line & Mainway) on the Saturday, as they are closed on Sundays.
I would highly recommend you try Sinful Desserts. The quality of their ingredients and versatility in baked goods is guaranteed to satisfy all tastes.

First time at this bakery. I specifically asked for a “custom”cake (according to them) - vanilla cake with buttercream frosting for my retirement party. Unfortunately when we tried the cake there was no way that was buttercream frosting. It tasted terrible. A group of us thought it was most likely made with shortening or something similar. I am very picky about my cake and went in to order it myself. The decoration was beautiful but how you can try and pass that off as buttercream frosting is terrible. We will never order from here again. No need to reply. I don’t want a refund or compensation. Just a warning to others. Perhaps the other regular non-custom cakes are delicious but because this happened on our first time we will not be finding out.

I would strongly advise against ordering a custom cake from this bakery. I grew up near this bakery and had always enjoyed their treats, so I decided to order a custom cake for my friend’s 30th birthday. I provided a photo reference and clearly wrote down the correct name, even confirming it over the phone with the staff.
When the cake was delivered, the name was spelled incorrectly. I had several appointments that day, and because of their mistake, I had to ask my dad to make multiple trips to help with the delivery. This caused a huge inconvenience and unnecessary stress on an already busy day.
When I contacted the bakery about the mistake, I was met with disrespectful and unprofessional behavior, particularly from the first staff member I spoke with. The owner was extremely unhelpful and dismissive, showing no willingness to resolve the situation professionally. I was hoping for some form of compensation or at least a correction that was done thoughtfully, but they refused to refund any portion of my payment, despite the fact that I did not receive the product as agreed upon. Under consumer laws, you are entitled to compensation if you are not provided with what you paid for, and it was disappointing that this was ignored.
They did offer a “free dessert” as a resolution, which ended up being a stale carrot cake, clearly something they would have otherwise thrown out.
Even when they attempted to fix the name on the cake, it was done poorly and carelessly, with letters uneven and the overall design looking tacky and rushed. I paid $180 for this cake, and it was completely unacceptable for the product and service I received.
I might consider taking further action if this issue isn’t resolved, but I am still hoping the bakery will take responsibility and find a fair resolution. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, and there are many other bakeries where you can get professional, thoughtful service without dealing with disrespectful staff. I cannot recommend this bakery under any circumstances.

Visited last Saturday and had such a wonderful experience! The cake I wanted wasn’t on display, but the lovely lady at the counter offered to have one ready in just minutes. She was so kind and even came up with the perfect message for it. The cake was absolutely delicious,my only regret is not getting the bigger size! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for amazing treats and friendly service.

I ordered a custom cake for my birthday and was absolutely devastated by what I received. The cake was hard, dry, and completely inedible and guests couldn’t get through even one slice, and most left their plates untouched. It was embarrassing and heartbreaking on what should’ve been a joyful day. When I contacted the owner, instead of taking accountability, she arrogantly told me to be “open to chance” when ordering a custom cake. For the price I paid, that response was insulting. She showed zero empathy, and when we told her she’d lost a customer, she coldly didn’t care.
What hurts even more is seeing her refund other customers for far smaller issues, yet refuse to offer us even basic decency. It feels discriminatory, which is painful and unacceptable. The entire cake is being thrown away. If anyone wants proof of how rock-solid and unservable it was, I’m happy to provide it. I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully or received such a horrible product in my life. Stay far away.

Rather than trying to understand or resolve the issue, they kept repeating the same thing and dismissed my concerns entirely. It’s disheartening to be treated this way, especially after being a loyal customer.

Sinful Desserts were amazing to deal with. We ended up ordering a two tier cake for our mom’s 90th birthday. Lana and Joanna provided helpful suggestions which we used and always answered any questions we had. We provided them with an inspirational photo and they delivered exactly what we asked. We chose a lemon flavoured cake which was the perfect sweetness and amount of lemon flavour and so moist! Really tasted amazing. Thanks so much for helping make our mom’s day special!

Sadly we ordered a cake for my 40th birthday and upon arrival, the cake had completely cracked (as you can see in the photo).
We spoke to the manager and was told there was nothing they could do as they cant guarantee anything once the cake leaves the shop (unless we paid for delivery).
For a $260 cake, this was unacceptable and we will not be ordering from Sinful Desserts in the future. As delicious as the cake was, the poor presentation and customer service are the reasons we will not be retuning or recommending to anyone we know.
For events, cakes are very important and I will not take the risk of another one turning out like this.
We also took careful consideration when transporting.
