I have been buying the Mushroom, Leek and Chicken pie (singles) for a few weeks at MariLu's. Once a week.
We like them a lot, a quick easy meal with a couple of veg. Maybe a roasted potato.
I am a pie crust freak, and I think the crust is good! As good as my mother's back in the day, no, but better than any other commercial pie I have bought. Most other ones have too little fat. There has to be a correct ratio of flour to fat, and this one has it. Proper oven temp wud count, too.
I tried the curry one, good seasoning, but I wud prefer a slightly thicker sauce.
My husband liked the plain butter tarts, but being of an Eastern European background, I found them too sweet. I frankly find most NAmerican desserts too sweet!
The service is just fine, but it cud be a lot depends on the customer's manner. on entering any shop.

I purchased a pumpkin pie recently and it was delicious. All of our guests loved it. I enjoyed how I could call 2 hours ahead and the staff baked me a fresh pie to pick-up. Will definitely be ordering again for the holiday season!

I absolutely love That Pie Place. Not only are their pies delicious but they are made with clean ingredients, and always a short ingredient list. They taste homemade because they are! Highly recommend. Their butter tarts are also the best I’ve ever tried.

One of the things I remember about my Mum is the pies she made. Best pies ever! She died when I was 13. Never had a pie as good as my Mums since then. A few months ago I wandered into That Pie Place, bought the butter pecan tarts and 2 meat pies. Can’t remember which pies they were but they were delicious. Reminded me of my Mums pies. Been in a few more times since then for meat and fruit pies, never disappointed. Tonight we had the steak and kidney pie, just like Mums. Also had the butter pecan tarts, mmmmmm!

Bought the strawberry rhubarb pie from Bruno’s fine foods. The crust was good, but the filling was basically all just jelly. There were no pieces of strawberry or rhubarb in the pie, so it left a lot to be desired. For the price, I probably would not buy again .

Tasted clean, balanced flavour, perfect crust real fruits ( no hidden jams) and not overly sweet. This is the BEST blueberry pie I've ever had! No process taste.. buy with confidence here.
We checked out this place Saturday around closing time. I overheard the gentleman behind me thanking him for keeping the place open so he can get there to buy pies. How neighbourly is that?! The best pop in decision my sister ever suggested.
We left with; Blueberry and raspberry 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 $5.75 Blueberry fruit pie 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 $5.75 Beef and Guinness meat pie- haven't baked it yet.
This place is a blessing, we will happy drive from the falls to grab a dozen fruit pies. We'll order ahead!
