Very disappointed with the Steak and Mushroom pie. Purchased a full size pie and the only thing that was good was the crust. It was definitely light and flaky. The contents however, were not steak or mushrooms. I did not get a single mushroom, the meat was not steak (maybe chuck?) and the onions were overpowering. The overall flavour was very bland and it smelt like it was full of additives rather than fresh. No beef gravy, but rather a strange, grey sauce. First experience, and last.Reply to the owner's response:It is disappointing that you feel the need to reply the way you did rather than to listen to the review. Perhaps my experience was a one-off and not typical but it was just that, my experience and I am welcome to leave a review about it. You noted "simple spicing" which is perhaps why things were bland to me, and perhaps many of your customers are very happy with your current spicing but I was expecting something different that was more beefy in flavour. I am not sure why you needed to make comments about baking a pie properly as I made no mention of this. I baked the pie to my liking - the picture was simply to show the colour of the contents and the lack of mushrooms. A better way to ensure future customers might be to show some care and concern.

Picked up a "steak and mushroom" 9" pie and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. It was neither steak nor mushroom but rather some form of beef, quite possibly chuck roast, and 3 mushrooms. 3 mushrooms that were so thin you could practically see through them. The crust was good, but the overall flavor was bland and the pie smelled chemically rather than "fresh". Perhaps renaming it to beef and onion with a guest appearance by a mushroom, would be less misleading. Not sure I'll be giving any of their other options a try.

I run a New Years party for my motorcycle riding club every year. This year I purchased 132 butter tarts for dessert and they were a big hit and many members asked where to get them. FYI we will ride hundreds of kilometers for a good butter tart. That pie place gets a 5 star review form the southern cruisers riding club.

I have been a big fan of That Pie Place for years! Their individual meat pies are my go to! Over the years, the quality has never wavered. Great value, lots of meat, wonderful flavours, and I love they are always trying something new! I bring these up to Sudbury for my 89 year old Dad and his favourite is the chicken, mushroom and leek. And Chris at the front is always so helpful and lovely!

The worst Steak and Kidney I have ever had. Onions not cooked. Did not detect much kidney and so so watery.

I purchased a pumpkin pie and raisin and pecan butter tarts and they are were all incredible! Everyone who tried the pumpkin pie said it was the best they have ever had!

Purchased a frozen chicken, leek and mushroom pie. Upon heating up and eating, EVERY bite had sand in it.Really makes me wonder if the vegetables were even properly washed. Hopefully a one-off, but a terrible first experience.

We drive all the way from 15 sr and Guelph line to pick up our delicious goods. This place is awesome! We have tried several different places and they have disappointed us. We thought a more expensive place would have better quality, nope! That pie place is the real deal! Everything we have tried is fantastic.

We bought leek, brie and mushroom quiche. It was delicious!! The crust held well and was very flakey. We will be back.

I stumbled across this little gem yesterday. I was in the plaza and happened to see the sign. The gentleman that served me was so pleasant. I ordered a steak and mushroom pie as well as a tourtiere meat pie. Both pies were delicious, I can’t wait to try all the pies ?

Butter tarts sold out but told you have to pre-order 2 days in advance/pay. So you can't come in next day and walk in random pickup. Tarts or pies. The woman at counter has a care-less attitude. Won't be back.

Earlier this year I bought two pies, both very good, one with goat cheese and spinach was especially tasty. Both pies were mildly seasoned. The crusts were just right without being too much or too difficult to cut. Would have liked to have known more about the selections but the woman behind the counter appeared to be unfriendly and simply pointed at items on a menu board with a pencil in a perfunctory manner and without further discussion. It was about 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon and I hope this was the exception among staff rather than the rule for customer service. I was prepared to buy more pies, but decided to purchase the two pies and left. Don't know if I'll be back.

Impressive pie spot that still uses REAL ingredients. They use lard, not shortening. Crust is flaky, dry, and dense and delicious.
