I am a happy regular here and this is hands down the best steakhouse west of Toronto. Not only is the steak always on point but I am always spoiled by the service I receive.

I almost never post reviews and when I do, they're usually positive, but I had a very odd experience at this restaurant. I attended as part of a talk that was being given and the service was very disappointing. I got the escargot as an appetizer and was not warned the skillet was hot. Lighting was low so I didn't see that it was even served in a skillet until I accidentally brushed my arm against it after the dish was set down in front of me and I actually fully burned my forearm. I didn't think it was that bad initially and so just iced it, but the next day, it was very sore and weeping. Another thing was that other people around me had their wine refilled after being offered this by waiters, as customary during these dinner events, but I was not offered this at all during the entire dinner despite my glass being empty around the time when I got my main dish, and then my glass was just taken from me without asking during dessert (other people still had their glasses unless they had indicated they were done). I had only had one glass so it was not like I was drinking excessively. Final thing was I was just hoping for some ketchup for my fries but could not get the attention of any waiter until basically everyone was done eating their mains. If it had been just one thing or another, I would've just chalked it up to being busy/etc but it just felt very disappointing during my first experience at this restaurant.

Beautiful place for an anniversary date. We had the best meals and the atmosphere was very romantic. Started off with escargot and our main was salmon and steak. The portions are decent size and dessert was the cherry on top! Great selection of wine too!

There is nothing that I can say that would be high enough praise for the service we received when we had our wedding reception here.Right form the time I called to book the staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. When I told them why I was booking they immediately offered us a private room. An offer that was greatly appreciated. That alone helped to make our experience perfect.Sam was our waitress and we are extremely grateful for her and to her. She was engaging, friendly, and attended to our every need. She was fun yet professional and helped to make the evening go by pleasantly.The food I cannot say enough about. The quality and flavor were beyond comparison. Everyone in our party agreed that the food we had was divine.The staff was amazing. There was not one person we interacted with that did not try to make our night better.My husband and I had a flawless evening thanks The Carriage House. We have already planned to go back sooner rather than later. The food and over all experience is to incredible not to.

We both enjoyed our meals; the pasta and tomato motz salad were exceptional. Our waiter was definitely rushing our meal and spending $200 I would prefer not to be rushed. Other that our waiter the food and restaurant was very nice.

This entire experience was lovely. Our server did a fantastic job giving recommendations and had an in-depth knowledge of the menu. Drinks were strong but well balanced, and apps were fantastic. We had oysters and octopus, and would recommend both. Our mains were fantastic as well. The special grouper and tenderloin steak were both perfectly tender. The sorbet selection for dessert was flavourful. The price point is fairly high, but portion sizes and food quality definitely reflected that. The ambience was lovely with multiple smaller rooms rather than a large open space, but it was still a bit loud if you have heating challenges. We absolutely loved our meal and have already planned our next visit.

Great service. However, I didn't get the porterhouse I had asked for from the display. I also believe that a cut of beef that thick should be cooked slower to reach the desired internal temperature. The steak was very raw on the inside which they brought back to the grill to cook more. I had asked for medium rare. Perhaps a meat thermometer would also help. I did enjoy the professional service. Great place that I will go back to.

Ive gone to the carriage house in the last and the restaurant experience was amazing. However, on valentines day it was a night to forget. We had ordered our mains at the same time as we had ordered the appetizers. The appetizers came out pretty quickly within 20 minutes or so, however the mains came out over 1 hour after we received our appetizers and about one and a half hours from when we put the order in. I ordered the sea bass, and my sea bass portion was ridiculously small maybe about 3-4 oz, and they only gave me two extremely small fingerling potatoes. Absolutely wild. For that price the value was not there at all. Really poor experience and will not be coming back or recommending to friends.
My husband and I had a lovely Valentines dinner. Great service, Great presentation of fine dining, Fabulous meal. The staff are professional from the time you arrive always delivering a special evening.

The food was very good apart from a poorly underdone steak which they corrected. The worst part by far was the service. We’ve never had a worse waiter in our lives - especially at a restaurant of this calibre.

That was a gr8 trip back in time. I haven't been to the Carriage House in many years. It was wonderful. The service and the food was first class. A welcome opportunity to return.
