We had the vegetarian trio as the app, which was delicious! My husband had the steak and guyere sandwich, which he liked. I had the chicken souvlaki. It was nothing special, but okay. The chicken souvlaki plate I get at the mall is better. Other than that, great service!

We stopped in for lunch last weekend and had a terrific meal. It took quite a while to get our food—and the place wasn’t busy—but that’s our only minor quibble. The food was incredible and, in all sincerity, we got a lamb sandwich that dreams are made of. The service was good, too, and the space is attractive and welcoming with local artists displaying their work on the walls. This place is a gem. Highly recommended.

The food was good here - I ordered the soup and salad lunch special. Service was relatively quick. I was surprised when they did not have freshly ground pepper as an option - it would have been delicious on the soup special. We also stayed for coffee, which was an interesting experience. They had an Americano option but not cappuccino or macchiato or curtado.

We ordered the souvlaki which was very good. The trio of dips as an appetizer is excellent. Only complaint is we needed more bread for dipping.

Driving in downtown Burlington Sunday afternoon thinking of somewhere different for lunch, decided to park and walk around the village square, passing by a few English style pubs until we walked into the centre of the square and saw the sign for “the hood”, it was always on my list of must try places, so decided this was the day!

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon while visiting Burlington. The restaurant is nestled in the 'village square', a quaint little collection of rustic looking buildings. I had the salmon burger and the boyfriend had the lamb burger with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, nicely made. The salmon bugrger was also well made with a good filet. The lamb burger was interesting with chunks of lamb instead of a party. Overall the food was solid, although nothing special.
