The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Burlington

I hardly ever review chain restaurants, certainly not to give them 5 stars, but my wife and I had a great anniversary dinner there last night. The food was good, but the service was exemplary. Our server Art was quite fantastic. And the free Billy Miner pie at the end to help us celebrate was the proverbial cherry on top.

It pains me to write this review. The Keg is always a guaranteed you know what you’re getting steady Eddy kinda place. Perhaps that old saying “stick with what you know” is true. We ventured off the path and went with the Lobster fest menu. 2 of us had the sirloin steak and crab Oscar. Inedible. Tasted like the chef accidentally dropped the salt shaker on the plate. The “Oscar” was fishy tasting (disgusting actually), the hollaindaise it was in was just a salt lick. Even the twice baked potato (never tried but was recommended) was so salty and just plain gross it was inedible. Doesn’t mean we give up on the keg, it just means never again venturing off into the “special menu”. Thank the heavens for Billy Miner Pie to wash away the salt lick with cold sugar 😆
In 35 years - truly the worst meal ever at the keg. Service was great!

Came to the keg for a great steak. I had a New York strip loin and it was fatty and bland. I thought I’d be embarrassed to serve it. Rest of the group felt theirs were “fine”. But the bill was a premium bill for a very disappointing steak. I tipped 15%, which is a considerable amount due the large bill and the waiter was upset and never returned. Had to carry our open bottle of wine out with no cork as he never returned. I just couldn’t justify a larger service tip for such a disappointing steak. If this was a diner I would have shrugged it off but it is not.
I will never be back. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately I was disappointed with my visit. Unfortunately, I ordered Diet Coke and when I asked for a second one because the first one was flat and had no ice, I asked for ice and pop that wasn’t flat and still received the same for a second time I had the prime rib classic, and the roast beef didn’t have much flavour because the whole outer edge I had to take off because it was too grizzly. I can usually enjoy eating some of the outer edge, particularly for the flavor, but wasn’t able to do so. The Caesar salad had no croutons and no bacon and the lettuce was limp. I don’t have the opportunity to visit the keg very often, but I’ve always looked forward to going there for dinner. The salt and pepper grinders are substandard and after asking for ones that worked they brought us another set that did not work. Unfortunately, the celebration for my niece was not the experience I was hoping for and I was very disappointed.

Fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere of the place was quite lively with a good vibe. The food was amazing, I had the 20 oz rib steak and my wife had the filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. Our server (Lindsay) was outstanding! She made our night the absolute best night and we thank her for the wonderful service she provided to us. We will definitely be back again and I highly recommend this location if you plan on heading out to a Keg.

Absolutely the worse food for pick up my husband and I have ever had. The baked potato was ice cold, the steak was well done, the stuffed mushrooms were horrible. We picked up the food at 4:30 so everything should have been fresh. We paid $200.00 for garbage. I sent 2 emails to the restaurant and no reply or acknowledgment. I have escalated to head office. I bring clients into town often and we will NOT be dining here.
