The North Coal Kitchen & Bar

I love North Coal. Has been my favourite restaurant for years. Always recommend it when someone asks for a good place to eat downtown Burlington. This visit was with 2 new ladies who are friends of my aunts, and they loved it as well! We told our waiter we had tickets to a show in Hamilton and he made sure to keep on top of our orders but without making us feeling rushed. Never a disappointment at North Coal! Thank you all!!

Food was excellent as usual. Nice to have live music on a Tuesday. And the volume of the music was perfect. We were still able to talk to each other as a table of 4. Really enjoyed his music.

A lovely venue. Excellent live music that thankfully was not too loud and so enjoyable. Served friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Will return!

Staff are always friendly and helpful and fun. Food was very good and drinks were next level! One of our favourite places for date night!!

North Coal is a treasure in our community of downtown restaurants. They have an excellent menu - where it's hard to choose. There are too many favourites. They are not just delicious but so appetizingly presented. And their drinks and desserts are great. Staff is friendly and ambiance is warm and homey. Also if you are a dog lover - your furry friends are welcome in their patio.

Absolutely fantastic place!! Food was beyond delicious and the bartender is a legit demigod. I cannot wait to come back again!! Service was great as well, super friendly staff!! Can't recommend this place enough!! Thanks for the much needed love guys!!!!

Enjoyed our dinner. The steak was a touch chewy, but overall it was a good meal. Husband really enjoyed the pasta and Caesar salad.

Such a great experience!!! We went for our anniversary dinner and took our kiddos with us. Meal was amazing - the food was delicious, full of flavour and perfect portion size. The service was superb. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, so great with us and our kids. Could not have asked for a better first experience. We cannot wait to go back!

Awesome vibes! Great good and service. Thoroughly enjoyed the talented performance by Steve and Eric. They were delightful and added to the overall experience.

Good food, great service on the patio with happy hour food and drinks specials at lunch. Nice.

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while. Shrimp appetizer just okey and duck tacos good and the truffle fries which were just ok, soggy , not crispy even though they were shoestring. My husband had the ribs, he enjoyed them Service was a little inattentive but then the patio was full so busy Live music was nice

First time visit. Very eclectic decor. Menu not extensive but some really good options. Kiera, our waitress, was excellent as was all the staff. Pricing was good and we'd certainly go back.

Everything was great - ambience, service, atmosphere, the live music was nice and subtle and not too loud which was great. I ordered something new this time as it was a popular menu item (whiskey steak bowl) and I wasn't too happy with it. I think the spices used in the basmati rice was too strong and didn't match the rest of the plate so I personally didn't enjoy or finish my meal. I would still go back but opt for a different menu item.
