We met with friends for a winter catchup and everything was great with the exception that there was only a high table available that was not too comfortable.
The food is always great! We had a nice table for two, but we were right next to the full wall of windows and it was very drafty. Also, I was shocked that an 8 ounce glass of wine is $22 at your restaurant that's far far too expensive. I've been to other restaurants of your calibre and I'm not spending that much for a glass of wine.
West Plains Bistro was a wonderful find! We were referred by friends that have been going there for lunch on a regular basis. Excellent food and service! We will definitely return.
Celebrating a birthday, we were very happy to secure a private booth. Service was excellent and food could not have been better. Delicious. We both ordered our favorite meal and it did not disappoint. Always enjoy West Plains Bistro for lunches or dinners. Thank you for making my day more special.
Always a great spot for delicious food and nice atmosphere for date night.

Chowder was ok but light on seafood.
Waldorf chicken salad was a big portion but otherwise disappointing. Serving a chicken salad with nothing else is just craziness. Who eats chicken salad by itself?? Not even greens. It cost 20$
When we asked for greens (they were indicated on the menu at the time), they gave a tiny portion of wilted leaves.

Have been to WPB many times and have always enjoyed it though yesterday was disappointing. The restaurant was packed, not a surprise this time of year. However, too many people and not enough serving staff made for long waits and very bad service. This restaurant needs a bigger venue and enough staff to give customers decent service. On a more positive note, the fish and chips was very good.
Had a wonderful lunch here today with a friend. And although we lingered for a long time catching up, we were not rushed or made to feel unwelcome. Food was fabulous (pasta of the day, mushroom crepe, creme brûlée & lemon cheesecake.) only thing needing improvement was coffee! It was quite busy and because it’s small it was a bit noisy.
Our second lunch here and we will be back!

Wonderful spot for lunch or dinner. Great lunch selections ... had a difficult time choosing....decor upscaled to a classy energized venue . My friend was impressed with the changes. Had smoked salmon the best! My friend had a mushroom crepe, loved it. Brought dessert home. Service 10 star . Our server was excellent, friendly and attentive.
Our lunch was amazing. Our server was excellent, you could see that he was busy, but totally able to handle the volume. Next time we will come with more people, so to get a booth. The only neg was the cold breeze coming through the door. Perils of life in Canada!

I had a wonderful 4 hour lunch with a great friend. Our first visit to this lovely bistro but it won’t be our last. We had reservations so no wait. Thank you for a great experience.

Wonderful as always. Beautiful, thoughtful restaurant especially for Seniors who dislike loud music.
West Plains Bistro, has such a warm and cozy atmosphere...the Christmas decor was lovely. As always the food was incredible. The wait staff is the best of any restaurant that I've been to.
I love everything about West Plains Bistro. The menu is excellent and the food is delicious. The space is a comfortable size, and the staff are friendly. It is perfect for any occasion.
On our way to the Paul McCartney concert in Hamilton, the waitstaff was conscientious of the time. Food suggestions were terrific. One guest is gluten free and excellent recommendations were made. A great experience overall.
