Went there today and as my review shows, the service and atmosphere were pretty good but the food had no taste whatsoever. We ordered three different items and found the food to be below average unfortunately.

I had a great experience eating here. The owner is friendly and went out of his way to help someone with food allergies. He was beyond helpful and went out his way to go through all the ingredients to make sure I didn’t have an allergic reaction.

Very rude and disrespectful owner. Me and my friend came to the cafe to study. I had brought a drink with me, and was notified that I was not allowed to and that we had to order something. The waitress then gave me a cup to put my drink in and everything was perfect, this was no longer an issue. Me and my friend began studying and were not hungry yet so we delayed ordering. When we study we tend to order at the end as a little treat. The owner during our study session had the audacity to come up to us to reach across the table, took my drink OUT of the Williams cup and said that we have 10 minutes to order or else we will be kicked out. We then went to order something, and paid. We notified him that we will be leaving a poor review due to this encounter, he immediately got offended and stated “do you know who I am?? I am the owner of this cafe!” and told us to leave because of a review. He continued to, in a loud voice, repeat himself saying things like “you are using my light”, “sitting on my bench”, over and over again in front of other customers. According to him it is illegal to buy food, and leave a poor review. This grown man had no business harassing 2 young girls who are simply studying and not bothering anyone. Never had this encounter in any other cafe that I’ve studied in.
Update: Demetres next door was wonderful, they sat us at a table with an outlet. Did not harass us to order, we took our time, then ordered some wonderful sorbet and waffles. The waiter was amazing, even asked us what we were studying. All staff was nice and friendly at Demetres.

The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. Do not support this place. Disgusting behaviour and unacceptable service. I witness the owner yell at customers and speak to them like they are beneath him. Completely uncalled for. He was very arrogant bragging how he paid a million for this establishment. This man is despicable. DO NOT GO HERE

The owner here was very disrespectful and rude, he kicked out 2 young girls quietly studying in the corner. The owner literally harassed us, and stated “you are using my light”, and he grabbed our personal belongings without permission, all because we didn’t order immediately after arriving, we stated numerous times we will order at some point. When we came to order I paid $7 for food and I simply asked for his name to leave a review of how we were treated, he started yelling at us infront of other customers saying he will call the police because we are going to leave a review. Terrible customer service, I still cannot believe how we were treated. We are 2 teenage girls violated by a grown old man for studying.

The place is nice and clean. Customer service is good too. Coffee was OK but bakery items weren't good at all, at least to our tastebuds.
I LOVEEE this place! it has the most amazing atmosphere and food. The employees are the sweetest people ever. Even the owner is awesome. I love their waffles and coffees and literally everything this place has to offer. If you’re still contemplating going here, Just go. it’s too good to pass up.
