We recently celebrated my birthday dinner at Canthooks. The atmosphere was quaint and service was good, but it’s not the same without former owner, Iris. My husband tried to order a beer, but they were out of at least three different kinds due to a wedding the night before. Our food was good, but the portion was miniscule for the price. Both my husband and son (big guys) left hungry. My husband ordered fish and got only two small chicken nugget size pieces in his dish....
Amazing food, and the loveliest service!
Our family of four all had the schnitzel last night. Two of us had it with spaetzle, (the little noodles) and two of us with fries, both served with some veggies and so delicious. We also enjoyed the jaeger sauce which is like a gravy that can be ordered on the side. Thank you Iris for the lovely service and amazing meal !

Appetizers were absolutely delicious! Many great options - perfect for sharing. The brie was amazing - my favourite. Cozy atmosphere, attentive service -- thank you for a great dining experience!
