The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Cambridge

Delicious food and incredible high-quality service. We went here for a 75th birthday with a table of 10, and were tended to well for the whole night. Excellent selection of wines, steaks and accompaniments. Would highly recommend the Keg for a date night or a family celebration.

I had the 24 oz t-bone and it was the best steak that I have ever had. The staff was
exceptional. As it was our 31st anniversary, they gave us a free Billy Miner slab of cake. Kudos to everyone. You made our anniversary a night to remember.

Fantastic staff! I've been going to The Keg in Canada for over 40 years. My visit to the Cambridge Keg was the BEST EVER! Everything was on point! From the service right through to the drinks and food. Our whole party of 9 people were 100% happy with our time there.

What can I say about The Keg that hasn’t been said a thousand times before?
Nothing!
The food is always impressive, the atmosphere is relaxed and you’ll always leave full because the portions are generous.

However, my review today isn’t about the restaurant itself, but rather about our server, Jacob.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Jacob this evening and his service was outstanding! From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

I had several questions about the menu, and Jacob took the time to answer each one with patience and professionalism, offering insightful recommendations without ever making us feel rushed. His attention to detail was incredible — he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and every interaction was warm and genuine.

It’s rare to find someone who is so naturally good at their job!

We had a very disappointing dining experience at The Keg. We had a reservation at 5:45 pm and arrived at 5:35pm. We sat for at least 25 minutes, and no one came to take our order. We didn't even get a glass of water. We tried to reach the waitress/waiter but NO ONE came to our table. Other clients who came later than us had already started enjoying their main courses. We are not Canadian, and we don't speak perfect English. This made us feel uncomfortable and neglected. The lack of service and attention was unacceptable, especially for a restaurant like The Keg. We felt ignored and unwelcome, which ruined our evening. It's concerning that international visitors might be treated differently. We hope The Keg management addresses these serious service issues to ensure all customers, regardless of their background, receive proper attention and respect. This experience was a waste of our time and left us with a negative impression of the restaurant.
