The Riverview Family Restaurant

Waiting period for 4 dishes was a bit bore. Food varies. Chicken fettuccini alfredo was so bland i asked for extra cheddar cheese but even their cheese was bland. Fish of fish & chips was mushy inside. We ordered medium rare Sirloin steak but got almost well done. Coleslaw and french fries were delicious. Be ready to tip.

Nice lunch at Riverview. Great view of river. Lots to choose from on the menu. Daughter had eggs, son had steak and I had mushroom burger and all were good. Forgot to take pics but remembered at the end and took pic if yummy sundae.

Great brunch experienced here with the family.

Food has gone downhill. Waitress was wonderful. Used to go often...probably won't be back. Last 2 visits was very disappointing.

A small restaurant with a nice closed patio facing the river. Service was amazing and there was a wide variety of dishes available. And I did enjoy the signature hot sauces that were made in my home country Sri Lanka and brought by him personally to add to the condiments.

Friendly staff. Food is always good. Prices are reasonable.

My mother always told me, If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

We tried this restaurant for the first time recently and both of us were greatly underwhelmed.

It's a real shame because the location is beautiful, right on the Trent River in picturesque Campbellford, Ontario.

We won't be coming back again and we will continue to support the deserving local restaurants in town (there are many of them!)

Packed when we arrived at lunch for a long meeting on an early Sunday afternoon but we were well served and attended anyway! , good food. No pressure on us to leave as it had gotten quiet late afternoon...presumably it was just ahead of the dinner rush.

My family will regularly go here for breakfast (twice a month) and I always love the food that I get. I tried the breakfast poutine at every restaurant in campbellford and the riverview has the best one!

Kid-friendliness: Whenever my family members come to town we'll always go here for breakfast and we have never had a poor experience, especially with the kids. They always love the food they get and the staff there is always incredibly accommodating for any requests the kids have!

Was there on a Monday busy place as hydro was out. Food was hot and the young waitress was good and friendly.

We used to love this restaurant but it's really declined. The first waitress was really trying but she was on her own in a full restaurant and super busy but still sweet. A second waitress took over part way through and she was cranky as can be because she was called in early and made sure everyone knew she was unhappy about it. The food was awful! Wherever I go, I always get something with hollandaise if it's an option. I got the morning after poutine which in the past years was great. Now it's disgusting. It has fries, cheese, green peppers, caramelized onions, two over easy eggs and "hollandaise" sauce....except you couldn't see any hollandaise at all. I asked the waitress about it and she assured me it was on there. I asked for a side of hollandaise because you couldn't see or taste it at all. What she brought out was a merky white water with green bits in it... It wasn't the colour or texture of hollandaise and had no taste whatsoever. Might as well have just coated the poutine in dish water for the same result. The green pepper was raw which is awful when put in a warm cooked dish. It used to be sauteed. Just all around terrible and not worth the price at all.

What an amazing place! The service was great. The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect and our waitress Lindsay was AMAZING! We showed up just after 7 and they served us, and then a group came in around 7:30, and they were served, and another couple came in just before 8 o'clock and they were being served when we left at 8 pm, even though the place was supposed to be closed then. If you are ever in Campbellford and in need of a meal. This is definitely the place to go!
