Based on recommendations I had read, which were all positive, I ordered eggs rolls, fried rice, garlic spare ribs. This was by far THEE worst Chinese food I've ever had. I had to throw it out. Never again!

The food was terrible. Ordered General Tsao, Szechuan steak, szechuan vegetables, Singapore noodles and egg rolls. The meats were hard, over fried chicken and steak and many meatless fried batter chunks. Oversized eggs rolls where you see almost translucent crust because it was in the oil frying too long. The only plate that barely passed was the noodles. I rarely write negative reviews but this place never again.

I ordered 2 plates and half dozen eggs rolls. I can not stress how horrible our experience was... the food had been clearly sitting out for hours. The chicken had a fishy smell... eggs rolls were soggy... everything was gross... i never write these, this place is horrid

The food is not really what others say in the comments, i had their egg rolls that is soggy and overly seasoned with 5 spice, BURNT Fried rice, under seasoned Lo Mein, and to finish spare ribs that is too sweet, I don’t know how they called it Chinese restaurant when the food itself is not really Chinese, I am never coming back again

Bare bones, take out only and brisk service. The food is reasonably good. Some things were great (egg roll, lo mein). The essential component is the value and portion size on the combination dishes. That lifts it above most other options for take out, including fast food.
Chicken Pad Thai was very

I rarely write reviews but wanted to warn others as this is the second time we have *tried* to eat here...not even sure this is a real business? Both times called in advance and placed order for specific pickup times. Confirmed pickup times. Confirmed order. Both times we drove here - once from Ottawa, once from Pembroke - no food. "We forgot." And then told to wait 25 minutes (in their parking lot, at -13, since there is no seating in this establishment) while they would START our order. The woman acted like this was perfectly normal, that our entire order was "forgotten"...Both times she picked it up from the very top of a pile right in front of her. We gave them a second chance and still never got food. Most ridiculous customer service ever. Will certainly not try again! Don't waste your time.

By far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten.
Yesterday I picked up 2 dinners for 7 at Fisherman Palace. Also, garlic shrimp with broccoli, shrimp with mixed vegetables, as well as Szechuan Spicy Mixed Vegetables, and Kung Pao Bean Curd for two vegetarian grandkids. My family had a birthday banquet that night.Everything was beautifully wrapped up for taking out, and the food was, without exception, delicious! The Fisherman Palace cook(s) (?) are something special. The premises could use some sprucing up to be worthy of them, but the food is beyond reproach. I don't live in Carleton Place but made the trip just for this. Highest possible recommendation from me!

I called to place a pickup and they didn’t inform me there was a mask requirement still (nor does their website mention it as far as I could tell) so I didn’t bring one with me. I only found out about this requirement when I got to the restaurant and saw the signs on the windows. I wasn’t able to go home and get one as I live too far away and was on my lunch break.I called the restaurant to ask if they could make an accommodation (ie bring the machine outside, supply a mask, etc) but they wouldn't acknowledge my question and kept asking if I was canceling the order instead. I was looking forward to trying this restaurant and would’ve been a repeat customer, so I’m really disappointed :(
New Years Eve!!!Fantastic Service and Excellent Food!!Thank you
We had a Christmas party with Chinese food from here, the spicy vegetable, crispy ginger chicken and honey garlic ribs got the best review but all 18 dishes were good! They are open Mondays which was very handy as well.
Vegetarian options: They had lots of choices
