“We enjoyed an evening here with friends. Excellent friendly service and good food. We shared the bruschetta starter. One of the best we have tasted, with tomatoes, cheese, onions and mixed herbs on warm baguette, served with a thin sauce/vinaigrette . I easily finished my plate of butter chicken, the others ordered the fish and chips, which they enjoyed, too. Guinness , Perth lager and decaff. coffee were our drinks. It was easy to converse, as the place wasn't too busy. On Fridays they have local entertainment, around 7 pm. We'll be back!”

“This place is easily 5 stars. Ordered chicken shawarma, and really tasted good. The garlic sauce and hummus tasted legendary. If only they could put more chicken into the shawarma. Nevertheless taste was great. And also the place is certified Halal❤️.”

“My husband lived in India and when we first tried Sagar he nearly teared up. He said, "Since returning back to Canada, I've never had any Indian that comes close to the food I had in India until I tried this!" Sagar has a huge menu to choose from including specialty dishes that are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. The chefs go above and beyond to provide the best tasting Indian cuisine and are happy to sub anything out for allergies or intolerances. Service is always fast and the servers are so sweet, tend to any needs and ensure you have the best dining experience possible. Sagar is our favourite date night spot in Carleton Place!”

“After being neighbours for 8 years I finally made it out for Pints Against Humanity with a few friends. Was impressed by the atmosphere, friendly staff, great service and delicious beer. Had a wonderful night, brought a few cans home and look forward to another visit. Well done!”

“I'm not sure why I waited so long to rave about this place! Since being taken over by Roop several years ago it's consistently fantastic. Always fresh and tasty and the prices are so reasonable! He's still using a five yr old menu (including the prices!) I just had the best Quesadilla I've ever had and the generous portions mean that you will need a doggy bag. Thanks again Roop for a great meal from beginning to end.”

“You may recall we stayed at the Grand Hotel one year ago and loved it. However, we were disappointed that the adjoining pub, the "Smith and Barrel" was not open on the night we stayed. Well lo and behold, we were passing through Carleton Place again in September of this year, and we stopped there for a light lunch/snack. This day it was open, and the beer and food were great. Route 21 beer on draught, brewed by the local Braumeister Brewing Co. was a refreshing amber beer that well complemented our delicious buffalo wings. It's true that this is a great place for people watching and overall street activity entertainment. Service was also excellent and friendly.”

“Just visiting for a bit and was delighted to discover Milano's because they serve single slices. I had the Pepperoni & Bacon, and it was a true adventure in Pizza Land ... “Store was clean, well lit, service was fast, food was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is fine for a fast food store front, but I would rather leave and enjoy my sandwich elsewhere. “Tried for first time last week and the food was great. Overall 4 stars since very expensive. They accidentally forgot to leave salt off the fries as we asked, so they gave us a free small one. Nice staff. Would be nice if they had tables to eat at, but they do have blankets for picnic”

“Had an awesome experience at Braumeister yesterday. Rohit was very welcoming, friendly and passionate about their beers. When his parents arrived, I got to speak to Ravi who was all about the friendly "Cheers" atmosphere. There is a lot of care about the community and relationships happening here and it was obvious amongst the patrons visiting at the time. And the beer was great! I wish I lived closer, but I'll head back there again for sure.Thanks for a great time with great people and awesome beers!”
