“Holy Moly!!! One of the unfortunate details of growing old, is remembering how good things used to be. Eating out nowadays, I almost always feel jipped... I rarely eat out anymore except for Swiss Chalet and occasionally Harvey's. My daughter offered to pick me up a sub after her shift today. I got the Captain's Club and let me tell you, this Captain runs a tight ship! This sandwich was created with pride and very generously heaped high. Everything was very fresh and I could have not wanted a little more of this or that!! Every bite was as good as the first. Loved the fine shredded lettuce.! I will become a very regular customer as long as you can reasonably continue the quality. Tip of the hat to all the staff and management!!!”

“I stopped in for the 1st time and didn't know what to choose, but I knew i was craving noodles. They recommended the Shanghai crispy chicken. I asked for medium spice. It was delicious! Nice veggies were included! All fresh in under 5 minutes! The spice level was ideal for me - consistent heat, but not overwhelming. Just enough to blow your nose at the end of the meal and vocal chords ready to sing a steady soprano! Highly recommend if you want healthy comfort food! I'll be back!”

“We came to Kal’s Place for a friends’ catch-up dinner and had no idea it was trivia night—but we decided to stay, and we’re SO glad we did! We had an absolute blast!

Kimmy, the host, was so warm, friendly and inclusive, and made everyone feel welcome. We laughed so much that my stomach actually hurt by the end of the night!

Such a fun atmosphere, great people, and the perfect unexpected night out. We’ll definitely be back!”

C'est un plaisir d'avoir une boulangerie de qualité. Je recommande vivement à tous les gourmands de venir découvrir ce petit bijou. Mais ce qui rend l'endroit encore spécial, c'est le cadre à l'étage on découvre une ambiance chaleureuse avec de magnifiques photos de famille qui racontent l'histoire à travers les générations. “I like taking my daughter to the Barley Mow (stittsville is our go to but almonte is a favorite drive)... We went tonight. Dinner for 2 plus 2 non alcoholic drinks (I was driving us) came to $44 taxes in. We go there all the time so I gave a nice tip. The owner/manager and staff are amazing. And the new menu *(after covid limited menu) is really fantastic. We are trying something new every time. Tonight I tried chicken tacos and she had a huge bowl of poutine. Both were amazing. Deffo recommended! (Unfortunately I couldn't get a pic of the dishes, my phone was near dead and I needed it to pay as I forgot my purse but they then charged my phone for me!!)”

The staff behind the counter were super fast and friendly, and my double-double and fresh farmer's wrap were made perfectly. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the line moved quickly despite the morning rush. You can really tell the management here runs a tight ship—they clearly care about their staff and customer experience, and it shows in how welcoming and efficient the whole environment is. “2 weeks ago, my guy and I stopped in last minute in the pouring rain, store was near closing after I was playing a gig nearby. The young guy working had done a METICULOUS job cleaning.

I'm celiac, and I hate it, but for the first time at a Subway, I felt completely safe with this guy's level of care.

He let us know the store was closing, but didn't demand us out, tysm for your time and care-

I would ask only why all Subways don't seem to have a laminated print out of allergens though. No Subway ever has this list, and I have to Google it every time.

Would save your staff an annoying convo for both them, and me.”

“Kudos on an improvement in the veggie pizza! There was a noticeable difference compared to the same in the past. It was well cooked, well loaded with ingredients and, as always, not greasy. The box felt heavier than usual, so we presume there was more cheese. Whatever the reason for improvement: corporate change or staff change, we LOVED it. Thank you!”
