“Holy Moly!!! One of the unfortunate details of growing old, is remembering how good things used to be. Eating out nowadays, I almost always feel jipped... I rarely eat out anymore except for Swiss Chalet and occasionally Harvey's. My daughter offered to pick me up a sub after her shift today. I got the Captain's Club and let me tell you, this Captain runs a tight ship! This sandwich was created with pride and very generously heaped high. Everything was very fresh and I could have not wanted a little more of this or that!! Every bite was as good as the first. Loved the fine shredded lettuce.! I will become a very regular customer as long as you can reasonably continue the quality. Tip of the hat to all the staff and management!!!”

“I had a fantastic experience at Mary Brown's. My order was taken promptly and came out hot and fresh, even during a busy dinner rush. The chicken was perfect—tender and moist with a satisfying crunch. The Taters were also great, and their signature gravy is rich and flavorful. The staff were friendly, efficient, and seemed genuinely happy to help. For the quality and generous portions you receive, the price is very fair. It's wonderful to see a Canadian-owned company deliver such a high-quality fast-food experience. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.”

“I stopped in for the 1st time and didn't know what to choose, but I knew i was craving noodles. They recommended the Shanghai crispy chicken. I asked for medium spice. It was delicious! Nice veggies were included! All fresh in under 5 minutes! The spice level was ideal for me - consistent heat, but not overwhelming. Just enough to blow your nose at the end of the meal and vocal chords ready to sing a steady soprano! Highly recommend if you want healthy comfort food! I'll be back!”

Dès l'entrée, on est accueilli Avé le sourire et une odeur irrésistible de pain chaud. Le pain est croustillant à souhait, les viennoiseries sont fondantes et parfaitement dorées et les pâtisseries un vrai délices pour les yeux et les papilles surtout le pain aux raisins en forme arrondie pâte feuilletée une tuerie ! généreux et juste ce qu'il faut de sucré. C'est un plaisir d'avoir une boulangerie de qualité. Je recommande vivement à tous les gourmands de venir découvrir ce petit bijou. Mais ce qui rend l'endroit encore spécial, c'est le cadre à l'étage on découvre une ambiance chaleureuse avec de magnifiques photos de famille qui racontent l'histoire à travers les générations. On sent que cette boulangerie à une âme, et qu'elle a été pensée avec le cœur. Longue vie à cette belle adresse. Je reviendrai sans hésiter !”

“I like taking my daughter to the Barley Mow (stittsville is our go to but almonte is a favorite drive)... We went tonight. Dinner for 2 plus 2 non alcoholic drinks (I was driving us) came to $44 taxes in. We go there all the time so I gave a nice tip. The owner/manager and staff are amazing. And the new menu *(after covid limited menu) is really fantastic. We are trying something new every time. Tonight I tried chicken tacos and she had a huge bowl of poutine. Both were amazing. Deffo recommended! (Unfortunately I couldn't get a pic of the dishes, my phone was near dead and I needed it to pay as I forgot my purse but they then charged my phone for me!!)”

“Amazing burgers and shakes...and great friendly staff. Fries were a total bust ...had more salt on them than an Ottawa road during an ice storm. I like my fries salted but not to the point where they look breaded. Had to throw them away.”
