As a former manager and operating partner of both Kelsey's and Montana's I have to say that listening to our waitress talk with her tables, and in particular the professional approach to a food allergy at our neighbouring table was note worthy. She handled it with so much knowledge and care. I hope that home office appreciates the level of service that exists in those 4 walls.”

“We haven't been to Swiss Chalet in years, but bro wanted to go for the roast beef, which is a temporary special. They don't normally serve beef.
He and hubby both enjoyed it very much. I had a hot chicken sandwich, and sis-in-law had a hot beef sandwich. Both came with 2 sides - I chose fries and Caesar salad - and wow, there was enough food there to keep me going for the next 2 days!
I was expecting the salad to be the size of a side salad, however it looked more like a main dish size. I shared it with hubby.

All the food got top marks from all of us. We ordered dessert, which we don't usually do, but the pictures looked delicious. They didn't lie. The cheese cake is to die for! (I shared mine with hubby because the serving was very generous.)
Not only were we pleased with the food, but the service was great too. The young lady who served us looked after us very well, and with a big friendly smile.
I think we'll be going back again before too long.”

Without exaggeration, the lamb skewers were the best lamb I've ever tasted, do not sleep on the lamb skewers or the takoyaki.

“Loved the food and the colorful ambience. I'm not a fan of Mexican food but my boyfriend loves it. I flipped the script and took him out to Casa Mexico in Kanata. He had the burritos and I had the quesabirrias (marinated shredded beef quesadillas). I am gluten-free and to find so much I could chose from.on a menu was great. Both plates were delicious. The decorations in bright colors were delightful. We're definitely going back to try the tacos.”

“I’ve been coming to Sansotei Ramen in Kanata for a while now and it continues to be one of my favourite spots in the city.

After trying a few burrito chains in Ottawa, this is my favourite! They are usually quite generous with the ingredients and are usually quick to make your food. My brother likes their vegetarian options as well.”

“My Better Half and myself were about to go order a couple pizzas when I noticed Pirho Grill. It looked interesting and she wanted to see what they offered. Since it's Friday, she does not eat meat. She loved the idea that you could build your own bowl and went for the All the Veggies. she especially like the Vegan Baked Zucchini cakes. Myself I got the Spicy lamb Meatballs. Our meals were excellent. She loved it. Told me it was much better than the Cheese or Vegetarian pizza she normally gets on these days and that'll become our goto place on Wednesdays (another day she does not eat meat) and Fridays. Place suits us both as we both can have what we want and eat healthy. She was especially happy with the Staff who were courteous and helpful with explanations and suggestions. Now, if you add some sort of fish to the menu, she'll be in Heaven :P Highly Recommend the place.”

Not your average ice cream shop, but plan to browse around their chocolates for premium goodies.”

Heres what i ordered:
Pad Thai, shrimp; "very" spicy and "extra sauce".

And, it's what I got. I'd say the spice level on their most spicy option is like a medium spice, just FYI. For me, it's perfect as it doesn't take away from the eating experience, it's spicy but, you get the full flavor of the sauce and it's delicious.

“Visited for a patio dinner on a Saturday evening. Good menu, clean venue, wait staff pleasant, food was good! But I have to point out a major faux-pas. I ordered the deep fried cheesecake for dessert. It was supposed to come with strawberry and chocolate sauce & whip cream. They were out of strawberry sauce but didn't mention it when I ordered and so was not given the option to choose something else. Another restaurant runner dropped it off with NO toppings whatsoever... I thought the toppings might come after, but after a while ate it as it was (it was good but would have been so much better with even only one of the toppings) Finally when our bill came, we mentioned that the dessert had no toppings. We were told the waitress was new and didn't realize.... I get that... but what I wasn't expecting was that we still had to pay full price for the dessert---no discount, no other offer. That was very disappointing service... I suppose I could have complained or asked to speak to a "manager" but at that point just really wanted to leave. Because everything else about the restaurant was good---and so happy it's even Canadian---we will return... hoping for a better experience”

“Wife and I went here on July 13th for lunch. Everything was very good. Food, service & atmosphere was great. My problem is $12 for a glass of beer, $24 for 2 beer. I don’t remember paying that for beer ever before anywhere. It doesn’t matter how it’s poured, who pours it or what you put it in, it’s beer. It’s no better, no worse than anywhere else. Same beer as the next place. I can get 3, 18 oz. glasses of beer here in Arnprior for $12. Will never pay that again.”

“For the second year in a row my girlfriend and I have taken a snowmobile ride to the brookstreet hotel where we’ve sat down for a meal at the Options Jazz Lounge. The atmosphere is amazing and they were super accommodating allowing us to store our large helmets next to our table. The live music makes for an amazing atmosphere and the Caesar salad it incredible. I highly recommend.”
