Every time I've come here it's been a wonderful experience. This is some of the best food you'll find here in this city. It's truly a hidden gem for the town of Carleton Place and Ottawa area.
We came here together as a family to celebrate an 80th birthday and try the blind 4 course meal...we were surprised above our expectations! The food is absolutely creative and a true pallet pleaser to say the least. We highly recommend the Black Tartan Kitchen, the chef Ian is genuinely talented!Enjoy your experience!

Small restaurant, nice and quiet atmosphere, 3 had the 3 course meal, I had lamb my husband had duck both very good. Relatively small quantities but I found with the starter was certainly plenty. My husband had the squash soup that came with an island of savoury sorbet, I liked his starter the best. Plan to return soon. For the tasting menu ?.
