I rarely write reviews but wanted to warn others as this is the second time we have *tried* to eat here...not even sure this is a real business?
Both times called in advance and placed order for specific pickup times. Confirmed pickup times. Confirmed order. Both times we drove here - once from Ottawa, once from Pembroke - no food. "We forgot." And then told to wait 25 minutes (in their parking lot, at -13, since there is no seating in this establishment) while they would START our order. The woman acted like this was perfectly normal, that our entire order was "forgotten"...Both times she picked it up from the very top of a pile right in front of her. We gave them a second chance and still never got food. Most ridiculous customer service ever. Will certainly not try again! Don't waste your time.

Pick up 69.00dollars worth of food .food had funny taste ,chicken balls taste funny ,sauce for chicken balls very watery .spare. ribs mostly fat on them.not happy will order some where else from here on.?

Yesterday I picked up 2 dinners for 7 at Fisherman Palace. Also, garlic shrimp with broccoli, shrimp with mixed vegetables, as well as Szechuan Spicy Mixed Vegetables, and Kung Pao Bean Curd for two vegetarian grandkids. My family had a birthday banquet that night.Everything was beautifully wrapped up for taking out, and the food was, without exception, delicious!The Fisherman Palace cook(s) (?) are something special. The premises could use some sprucing up to be worthy of them, but the food is beyond reproach. I don't live in Carleton Place but made the trip just for this. Highest possible recommendation from me!

I called to place a pickup and they didn’t inform me there was a mask requirement still (nor does their website mention it as far as I could tell) so I didn’t bring one with me. I only found out about this requirement when I got to the restaurant and saw the signs on the windows. I wasn’t able to go home and get one as I live too far away and was on my lunch break.I called the restaurant to ask if they could make an accommodation (ie bring the machine outside, supply a mask, etc) but they wouldn't acknowledge my question and kept asking if I was canceling the order instead. I was looking forward to trying this restaurant and would’ve been a repeat customer, so I’m really disappointed :(

We had a Christmas party with Chinese food from here, the spicy vegetable, crispy ginger chicken and honey garlic ribs got the best review but all 18 dishes were good! They are open Mondays which was very handy as well.Vegetarian options: They had lots of choices

Checked out this authentic Chinese restaurant for take out food for the first time as new to the area.The sweet and sour ginger chicken was absolutely its delicious the best I have tasted.We also tried the Kong po chicken it was also very flavourful and had the perfect amount of heat/ spices and was also delicious. Definitely we will return. Thank you fisherman palace❤️
Wow. Not in a good way wow.Let me recommend you DO NOT get the crispy beef which tasted like it was deep fried for 2 weeks nor the Cantonese chow mein which was MUSH.Honestly I think my meal has made me lose faith in Chinese food.Scarred for a long time- It was horrendous.

Just new to the area so we tried Fishermen Palace ginger sweet and sour chicken. It was absolutely delicious, nice pieces of chicken in a wonderful flavoured ginger sauce. Also tried the chicken Kong PO it was equally as delicious and the best we have tasted.

absolutely the best Chinese food in town, phenomenal service and courteous staff every time we go. there's no beating fisherman's palace when it comes to Chinese food in Carleton place. if you're not sure what to get i recommend the combo #1 or #8

Food is excellent- the CA32 Sesame Beef is reminiscent of the Crispy Beef from the sadly-missed Ho Ho in Ottawa (I have no higher compliment for Chinese food). Portions are good, prices are reasonable - the one lost star is because it's often my experience that they underestimate the time for food to be ready by 10-15 minutes.
