This is a true gem. Glad we found this place.

Went here based off a recommendation from a friend. Ribs were delicious and came out quick (Yay!). However, service left something to be desired. Unfortunately, my water glass was dirty (and tasted like someone's leftover ceaser.) No one came back for my beer order. I waited 53 minutes after my meal to order dessert. I hear it's great but I guess I'll never know lol. I had to go to cash to ask for a box and my bill.
Too bad, I was looking for places to bring a group but I don't think this is it.

Excellent dinner. Caesar was also very tasty.

It is incomparable. A throwback to an old early 20th century summer resort camp on the lake complete with a screened in all weather porch, wood stove heat, period furniture and decor, and absolute incomparable food with value that makes it senseless to drive beyond CP. If I were smart I would delete this because if the word gets out we will never get a table.

We recently visited and would rate it 3.4 stars. The service was good, but the organization was a bit lacking. The food quality was average, around a 3-star level. It felt pricey for what was offered.

We have been to this restaurant quite a few times, and my parents love it. We recently moved and my parents helped out a lot during the process, so we brought them here to thank them for their help.

We made reservations for 6:30pm. Nobody came to get us any drinks until 6:45pm. Not even a greeting. The waitress was unfriendly (we had her last time and were unimpressed as well.) we didn’t order our food until 7:05. People that were seated after us had already ordered and starting receiving their orders before we even ordered.

We had an 11 month old with us and by the time we eventually got our food, she was over it and wanting to go. The waitress never came to check on us and offer drinks at any point between ordering our initial drinks and when our food finally to came.

When she finally did bring our order, she forgot one meal and clearly had to go back and actually order it because it took another ten minutes for it to come. Two orders were completely wrong, one of which was the babies meal.

This is the final straw for poor service here, we won’t be back again.

Great gathering at Generations on the Lake last night! Warm Fall evening, beautiful sunset, excellent service and the food … well has to be the best place to eat in Carleton Place! We sat in the Four season patio by the wood stoves and enjoyed the best prime rib dinner we’ve had in a long time. Many thanks to an amazing chef and his fast, efficient staff for a wonderful evening! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a fantastic Thanksgiving Turkey meal, the amount of food was great served hot and tasted perfect, our server was friendly and accurate.

What a beautiful restaurant by the lake, nice menu delicious food I had clam chowder it was excellent, the service was very friendly and efficient a very nice drive from Ottawa, I will definitely be back as soon as next week. Thank you for great service

Fantastic place to visit for a great meal. Food is great, and many choices . The service was terrific, the atmosphere was awesome. The views are majestic. Went there to celebrate a birthday and she was thrilled. We will be going back. Ample parking, great wine list. It was like being at a cottage, great conversation and friends to share with.
