I am a relatively new resident of Carleton Place & have had at least three meals (all the same meal) from this establishment & they were all excellent.However my last meal had a lot to be desired.First: the Singapore noodles did not have as many vegetables as others I've had (ie: peppers, onions, carrots) what looked like, was just bean sprouts. I've been eating Chinese food at the Hing Wah for about 20 years at this point.... we could still smoke in the restaurant when I first started. Well long gone are the days of smoking indoors, but the Hing Wah is still here making the best Chinese food in Lanark / Beckwith. I have probably eaten 10 thousand Jah-do chicken wings here by this point, and I can guarantee you I will eat many more! Quiet place to eat great Chinese food!
I’ve now eaten at all four Chinese restaurants in Carleton Place. This was the only place where as takeout / delivery, the crispy things were still crispy! In particular, we loved the crispy beef. Really good dish! The beef lo mein was extremely bland, but the noodles were cooked very well and so eating it with the crispy beef made it very tasty. Definitely a great choice.
