Might I suggest a quick rebrand? How about changing the name from “Moore Sushi” to “More Sushi”? Because if you don’t, you might be knocking yourself out of business sooner than you think!
We just ordered sushi from here, and it was honestly one of the worst experiences we’ve had. The food wasn’t even decent, and the portions were ridiculously “small”. You’re definitely not going to get rich by downsizing portions like this—you’re just losing customers! It’s not fair to pay a premium price for a meal that leaves you still hungry.
I’m honestly wondering how this place has so many good reviews because it doesn’t add up. It feels like some of them are not genuine. Running a business this way won’t take you very far. I’d recommend avoiding this place unless you want to overpay for a tiny, unsatisfying meal.

We were really excited to try this sushi spot, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge letdown. First off, the portions were incredibly small, especially for the price. We ordered three rolls for two people, which came to almost $60. For that price, we expected something more substantial. Instead, the rolls were so tiny they would be more suitable for a kids’ menu, not something you’d expect for adults.
We both left still feeling hungry, and it was so bad that we had to stop by McDonald’s afterward to actually get full. When you’re paying that much for sushi, you don’t expect to end up at a fast-food drive-thru afterward. The quality of the sushi itself was average at best, but honestly, the portion size just overshadowed everything else. I can’t justify recommending this place when there are so many other great sushi spots.
If you’re looking for sushi that actually fills you up, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

Honestly, it was a real let down.. we got a few sushi rolls that were just okay and then we also ordered the beef udon. The udon was terrible. We aren't picky eaters and we ended up flushing it down the toilet. It tasted metallic, watery, almost astringent? Chemically? The beef was tough and flavorless. I tried adding soy sauce, hoisin, chili oil etc. at home and we couldn't make it edible. If you're looking for REALLY GOOD beef udon, drive to Smiths Falls and try Yukihana. We won't be eating here anymore, unfortunately.

If you’re driving by Carleton Place on highway 7, it’s really worth taking a diversion to Moore’s. We had very tasty and filling poke and tempura. We discovered that Carleton Place has a lovely old town centre too!

Was looking for a lunch spot before getting ice cream nearby and found Moore Sushi tucked away, but I’m so glad we spotted it! The staff gave us a friendly greeting and took our order quickly once we decided. They even spilt a noodle bowl for me and my 8yr old to share. We got the chicken karaage app and it was the perfect crispy outside w/super moist meat. My husband got an assortment of sushi that I didn’t catch the names of, but he liked them all. And my son and I enjoyed our soup as well. Wish it was closer to home, as we’d come more often for sure! It’s definitely saved for when we are over there again though!
