Disappointing meal tonight. The food took a very long time to arrive and when it did, it was lukewarm. Waitress could have been more attentive.

I had the beet salad and it was delicious. My grandkids had the nachos. They only wa ted cheese on them but they had vegetables on them as waell which was a disappointment. The kids wouldn't eat the. Both my daughter and her husbands were really tasty, except they forgot to inform my daughtrer was not part of the meal but a seperate cost. Overhall it was a good vosit. The waiter was very good. But I do think we should have been discounted because they brought the wrong order for the kids.

Really enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this pub. It was easy to find since I am not from Carleton Place. There is plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. We had a wonderful meal. I can strongly recommend the amazing fish tacos. They were absolutely incredible and worth the drive to Carleton Place on their own! The burgers looked amazing as well and I was told the waterfront burger was really good and it came with beautifully golden brown french fries. It was a beautiful setting by the river on the patio. Lots of umbrellas for shade. Very good service by a lovely waitress. No complaints at all, and I would definitely like to go back as soon as possible.

Somebody recommended this place on the Ontario Tour Guide Facebook page, so a group of six of us went with a reserved table. We really wanted to sit by the waterfront, even though they don’t take patio reservations. When we arrived, the patio was full, so we politely asked at the front desk if we could move outside if a table opened up. Unfortunately, the staff member’s response was quite rude — she said “absolutely NO” in a very dismissive way, which felt unnecessarily harsh.
It was disappointing, especially since we drove all the way from Stittsville after seeing so many good reviews. That said, the food completely lived up to the praise — the fish & chips, burgers, Linguine Bolognese, the drinks and especially the Blue Hawaiian cocktail were fantastic! In spite of the unpleasant interaction, I’d definitely come back again just to sit by the water and enjoy their amazing food. Would have given 5 stars, but because of the treatment we got, I can’t.

I would think that having a clean dining area would be a priority for most restaurant owners as it's what your patrons see while waiting for their food. When that is not the case I'm sure most people can Imagine the places you can't see, ie. the kitchen must be way worse. I understand that profits are slim in the service industry, but have a little pride and clean out the spiderwebs and dead bugs and dust once in a while. Service was friendly but extremely slow. Food was unappealing and poorly presented. This will be a no go in the future.
Came in for lunch today with my mom, Trey was our server and he was very attentive of us and very kind. 10/10 service. Food was great, loved the sweet potato fries!! Just wish they had Diet Coke :)

This is a cute pub. The food was ok, the price reasonable, and the service was wonderful. We were excited to eat by the water. However, as the night went on, the spiders came out. There’s were dozens of spiders along the rails which wasn’t too bad until they made their way to us and we had to swipe them away.
