I’ve been eating at thruway restaurant for years .If you haven’t tried the pizza yet you definitely need to come in for pizza and a beer ! It always tastes like more 😜not to mention if you ask for Paul as your server he will definitely put a smile on your face 😀

The service was very friendly, but quite slow, and some of our food (the home fries, the toast, and the hollandaise sauce) was cold when it came out. The pieces of rye toast were quite small and we found out after the fact were extra charge, the home fries seemed to be the kind you stick in the fryer from frozen, and my hollandaise sauce was a bit gritty, like it came from a packet. So not the best quality of diner food. Overall, though, not bad portion sizes for the price.

Parking: If you can't find something on the menu you like you shouldn't go out to dinner anywhere.
We eat here often because it is reliably good food at a very reasonable cost. I love their baby beef liver, the best I have ever eaten! And, their smaller portions for us seniors at reduced cost are just right. With a nod to Greek food, the menu is varied, and there isn't a better eggs Benny anywhere. Servers are excellent...great operation. Ambiance is dated but comfortable.
