they have a very nice set up lots of seating areas nice deck with washrooms.
I found the price is quite high seven dollars for a small fry and when I stop at a chip truck, I’m expecting fresh cut fries unfortunately what I got were frozen fries. there’s a sign out front with a picture of fries and it says fresh underneath it. I figured that meant fresh cut. It wasn’t until after I got my order did I realize they have put black tape over top of the cut so the advertising fresh fries just not fresh cut fries. I find that a little misleading

Great spot to stop for a snack when traveling through the area. Huge selection. Be aware that it's cash only with an ATM on site

I had bought fries in Deep River which were horrible. I had to throw them out. I stopped here and their fries were most excellent. Fresh. Golden fried. Very hot. I'll stop here next year on my way by!

very unpleasant attitude from the woman working, not really a pleasant experience to begin with. Not to mention, for the price of the food, I was thinking it would be better! $12 for a small poutine!
Delicious! A little expensive but so worth it

This place is the best restaurant in chalk River. Bring cash as there is no debit. But there is an ATM on site. The poutine here is awesome and they have a really long menu. Also kawarthas ice cream!!! And beer!
My only vice could be that they should be open a little later in the evenings. 6pm is to early to close a food establishment.
Parking: Tons of parking and even veteran parking.

Ordered a pogo and fry and the pogo was not homemade, it was a frozen pogo from a box deep fried to the point it was hard and burnt. The fries were also not homemade. They were over fried in old oil and the portion was extremely small. Would not go back.

Cons:
-Surprisingly expensive, $20 can barely get you a combo
-Cash only (ATM fees)
-menu wording/adds on/poutine upgrades/burger selection not the greatest…for instance, angus burger no problem, but a deluxe burger (bacon cheeseburger) not listed
-hours of operation aren’t great
Pros:
-food is really solid, better than most
-portion sizes
-parking/highway location
-seating
If they lowered their prices slightly, got a square app so customers could pay Interac at least, ideally debit/visa, their sales would go up

The first couple of fries were good but then all the rest had a foul taste, I gave the fries back and made the fry people aware.

Solid fried food and good ice cream. The fryer could use an oil change when we were there but it was still great. A good roadside stop.
