My sister ordered a birthday cake and when my mom and I got there to pick it up they told us the order never got brought down to the baker.. my mother had called the previous day to confirm and give her credit card and the girl rushed her off the phone and didn’t even confirm the order- if they had they would’ve realized the order was never processed. We understand mistakes happen and they did offer to give us a different cake but when asked if they could write on it “happy birthday Benny” which they agreed to, they let us sit there for 50 minutes waiting for it to come back out without even checking in on the cake. The girls kept walking away from us whenever we tried to ask and made eye contact with us as we sat there for almost an hour and finally when we asked about it she went to check and the cake came right out so it was probably just sitting in the back done. These girls have no idea how to do customer service and would’ve just let us sit there all day. We were obviously late to the party. Definitely lost our entire family as customers because of their obnoxious behaviour. Finally when we got the cake the box was disgusting and full of other food and icing we couldn’t not serve it in the box. Don’t recommend for cake orders

Food is amazing. Service is some of the worst I've seen... its always high-school kids with little to no social skills at all and you spend your time there waiting and waiting and waiting. I love the baked goods but the service is SO poor it honestly wrecks the experience there. Needless to say I wont be returning. My parents, siblings and I used to go often when we first moved into town. none of us are interested in coming back just to wait and trying to get a staff member to talk to you is like pulling teeth..

Very quaint bakery/ restaurant. The donuts were divine and the coffee was great. Also bought multi grain bread which was very filling. Nice thick slices.

Amazing homemade baked goodies made in-site. Excellent pit stop for cyclists 🚴♀️
Called in here today only because Willy’s didn’t open until 11am.. we had a long drive down from Wiaton.. first was greeted by in my experience a very rude young lady ( she knows who she is) then paid almost $26 for two bacon sandwiches, toast was burnt bacon frazzled.. so for me terrible and that’s a nice comment.. so be warned if visiting for first time.. Disgraceful!

I have been to your business quite a few times...and always pleased with your breakfast and lunches. Have purchased baked goods in the past and always enjoyed them...BUT I came in to purchase cream puffs this week and was so disappointed with them. I purchased for friends and one for myself...... I was asked by my friends why I would purchase day old ones. As far as I was aware they were from that day and tried the one I had....the pastry was extremely brittle and very difficult to eat. I did contact your store and informed that there are 2 different cream puffs....that is something I was not aware of and if I had known I would have purchased the soft ones I am sure my elderly friends did not eat them and were thrown out.... Suggestion: put a small card in front of these cream puffs so people will be aware that these are the crusty shells instead of the soft cream puffs...Wasted my money on these and in these times that is such a shame... I still will patronize your business but not for the hard dough cream puffs...

The food was great (we ordered the donuts to go) but there was only one girl working in the morning and she was running around like crazy- with no help. From trying to help people be seated, to taking orders, to helping others with orders to go- she didn’t get a moment to breathe! She did an amazing job given the circumstances, but it made ordering and paying a challenge which also made the atmosphere feel very stressed and unorganized.

Good sandwich quick service.
Went in for some take out on snowy Saturday Morning
Purchased the breakfast, children’s grilled cheese, cookies, chocolate milk and tea
Was served my two young ladies
Had to ask about receiving my drinks. Chocolate milk was put in a small coffee cup but the cup was only half filled. The tea was the wrong flavour.
Asked about cutlery and napkins, the server was annoyed that I wouldn’t have known it was already in the to go boxes. Didn’t appreciate the attitude, especially after tipping. Whole I sat to wait for my food, I noticed the attitude was towards everyone. Clearly the server didn’t want to be working there that day.
The toast was cold and soggy, the eggs and sausage very overcooked. The home fries ask overcooked and cold. I would have guessed that my breakfast was premade and just sat under a heat lamp and then just put in a to go box. I couldn’t eat my breakfast and it was tossed in the garbage. My daughter had the grilled cheese which the cheese wasn’t even melted.
The cookies were great. We had the gingersnap cookies which ended up being our meal.
Over all I paid $38 dollars. Definitely threw my money way with an uneatable meal.
Very disappointing experience and will not be returning again

Bartliff's Bakery & Restaurant was recommended to me and is almost the only non-chain option with a community feel, homemade food and treats and a place that is both welcoming and comfortable. If you are in the area and looking for a bite to eat or a favourite treat, this is must place to visit. It can get busy and is a favourite place for locals. The food is good and the treats are plentiful. Service was friendky and top notch on this occasion. Come early if you want a table. Enjoy!

We recently moved to Clinton. My wife loves sweets. She was looking forward to trying Bartliff’s bakery. We walked in 4 times in 5 days with 1 to 2 customers sitting down drinking coffee every time with 3 to 4 staff members on hand. After waiting for over 5 minutes all 4 times we walked out unserved for the last time. Guess it wasn’t meant to be.
