I had a very uncomfortable experience during my visit. Before her shift ended in the late afternoon, my server appeared intoxicated!? and repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to place my order (I had to insist that I was ready to order!!) After receiving my takeout, I noticed the spinach dip was a little cold, so I kindly asked for it to be warmed (I was not returning home) When the new server on shift returned, she opened my food without asking, insisted I try it in front of her, and had opened everything up and was touching everything with her fingers!! I had to stop her and take my food back immediately.
As someone 37 weeks pregnant, this was especially upsetting. Both servers I encountered made the entire visit feel unprofessional and uncomfortable. I truly hope management takes steps to ensure guests feel respected and at ease in the future.

Tucked away in the heart of Baltimore, *John’s Bar & Grill* is more than just a local pub—it’s a place where genuine hospitality and community spirit come alive. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and personalized, and the people were so friendly that I found myself wishing I had more time to stay and chat.
The food was excellent, the prices were just right, and the atmosphere made it easy to feel at ease. Even though I didn’t introduce myself at first, I suppose I’ll now be remembered as *“the guy who left his glasses behind.”* Thankfully, they kept them safe for me until I returned—a small gesture that speaks volumes about the kind of care and character this place offers.
If you're ever in town, don’t miss the chance to stop by. You might come for the food, but you’ll stay for the people.

this is normally my go to place, but tonight was terrible! watered down drinks& no side when i ordered my meal.. talked to the workers& they couldn’t do anything.
As someone who’s been traveling from Alabama to Cobourg/Baltimore every few months, BJ’s is definitely now in my top 3 places to eat at in Cobourg/Baltimore. The fish and chips I got were amazing, especially regarding the taste and the batter on the fish –which were just perfect. Also, the Pad Thai with chicken was extremely rich with flavor and the chicken was nicely cooked. Although, some of the noodles were a little less finished than desired. Overall, pretty solid establishment if you only care about the food, the service, and don’t mind the bar ambiance.
