“Cozy, comfortable cafe serving an assortment of homemade pies and tortes, croissant sandwiches, and savory quiches. We enjoyed a salmon quiche, medivnyk cake, and torte Napoleon. A good rest spot off the 401. Parking lot behind the cafe, and on the street.”

“We have been coming to this location for a very long time. Angela has always been amazing. The whole staff knows us and treats us like family but Angela always goes above and beyond for us. Go to place for pasta and salad never go away hungry with the all you can eat.”

“Coffee is SO GOOD! Especially the iced coffees. The one downside is the lids to the regular iced coffees/clear cups don’t fit at all. They don’t seal and coffee drips everywhere out the side, and once coffee gets up there the lid slides right off. So the lids are too big. It sucks because their iced coffees are so good, but it makes such a big mess and makes them hard to handle :( it would be helpful if they got better lids! Other than that, great cafe.”

We have had most of the menu items & all good, particularly the mushroom pasta, coconut shrimp, hamburger, etc. We haven’t had anything we wouldn’t recommend. “The buttermilk seed bread is the best bakery bread we’ve ever had. It’s our go to on Wednesdays or Fridays. Added bonus is it freezes in really well so we can cut a large loaf in half and save the other half for later. So happy we discovered Millstone Bakery”

“This is absolutely an amazing chocolate shop!! Genuinely some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had!

I always get an assortment of different chocolates and they usually carry a seasonal item. This last time I went in the summer it was fudge, and in October last year, I got chocolate bars. Every thing I’ve tried here has been fantastic and one time I was even gifted a bit of free gelato before I left which was also delicious.

Two for us and three hanging.” They paid, they took their two coffees and left. I asked the waiter. "What’s this about hanging coffees?" "Wait and you'll see." Some more people came in. Two girls asked for a coffee each, they paid & left. The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women - ‘three for them and four hanging coffees.’ I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the hanging coffees, they leave. Suddenly, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely. " Do you have a coffee hanging?" “Yes we do sir” They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer on these famous " HANGING COFFEES" People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink. This tradition started in Naples. Amazingly it’s spread throughout the worlds cities and towns. It’s also possible to order not only "hanging coffees" but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal. Make sure to publish this beautiful idea to everyone. Share it if you want to help promote the idea too. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities, towns and villages where we live. Let me know if your local coffee shop does this. “I’ve had a lot of pizza in my life, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be the best pizza I’ve ever had.

Stopped into 241 Pizza in Cobourg and got my pizza made by Sal-absolute masterclass.

The first thing that hit was how perfectly done the bake was. The crust had that ideal balance: crisp on the outside, soft and airy inside, with enough structure to hold every bite without going floppy. Then come the toppings loaded properly, fresh, generous, and every ingredient actually tasted like itself instead of getting lost.

But the showstopper? That spicy tomato sauce base. Unreal. It had this perfect kick not overpowering, just enough heat to keep you coming back for the next bite. You could tell somebody actually cared while making it instead of throwing ingredients together.

As someone local, I’ll say this — places survive because people keep showing up, and after this pizza, I completely get why. Sal absolutely crushed it.

“I really like this Chinese food. Clean, no M.S.G. (that I can taste), good price (2 tasty entrees and a side for $14.50). They don’t drown the fried rice in soya sauce. I’ve only had take-out; the restaurant is clean, but very high ceilings so not a lot of ambience. All in all a great experience.”

“Wendy’s is one of the best fast-food restaurants in our area. Compared to McDonald’s, Arby’s, and other similar places, the burgers here are much tastier, and the menu has better options. The restaurant also looks cleaner and more comfortable inside. In my opinion, Wendy’s is one of the best choices among fast-food restaurants. We come here from time to time and always enjoy our visit.”
