“As always...G&O knocked it out of the park. The cocktails and wine were perfect, prompt and properly chilled on a hot night. Service was attentive, without being annoying. And the food was so delicious. Carpaccio was silky and perfectly seasoned. The charcuterie board was all the things...savoury, tart, sweet and crunchy. What more could you ask for...except a spicy chicken sandwich--which just left me wanting more! Thank you G&O for never letting me down.”

“5 star for the service. Nice ambience like the Olive Garden chain in the US . The tomato soup and the garden salad and the freshly baked bread was amazing. We tried the bruschetta ( flat bread) and it was delicious . We went for the pasta which had shrimp vegetable and grilled chicken breast in it , i forgot the name . It was a little hard for my mom , could have could 2 more minutes but for me it was okay. The flavor was good . Also we went for the hells kicked chicken and the flavor on the church was good but it came with loads of potato’s in case you do not like to eat a lot of them. The restaurant closes at 9 pm and everyone is welcome anytime before 9 pm . Overall we had very good experience and recommend this place”

“Forget the big chain breakfast places, this is the real deal. The first test of a great breakfast place - coffee, most fail but not Buttermilk. Our server Laura, was amazing. The food was great and exactly how we wanted. Nice extra touches with 18% cream, 12 grain bread (among 4 choices). Friendly atmosphere and cozy vibe!!”

“We ventured into this town specifically because we saw ratings for this beautiful pink café! The owner is a sweet woman with such a lovely smile. Great brownie and fantastic iced latte! Would go back over and over, just for the decor!”

“Don't second guess yourself when it comes to stopping at Betty's and trying some of their offerings. The bigger problem is trying to decide what to leave behind.

I bought a raspberry pie that was so full of filling that everyone who had a slice commented. The crust was also perfection.

Next up are the tarts, everything from standard butter tarts to peanut butter and jam and everything in between. I had a cherry tart and my mouth still waters thinking of it!

I completely forgot to take pictures but I will the next time I visit. If you're from out of town they also have a little guestbook so drop a note and let them know where you're coming from and that Maggie sent you! ?

Parking: I haven't had a problem getting a spot but the parking out front is limited so when busy you might have a problem.”

“Recently came across Momma Mina's and tried the chicken roti with pepper on the side.....OMG absolutely delicious! Love that Momma Mina offered an authentic tasting curry with so much flavour, the pepper was very flavourful. My spouse ordered the curry goat meal and it was equally delicious. The meat was tender and the spice level was perfectly balanced. Most definitely will be a returning customer!* halal options!”

“The buttermilk seed bread is the best bakery bread we’ve ever had. It’s our go to on Wednesdays or Fridays. Added bonus is it freezes in really well so we can cut a large loaf in half and save the other half for later. So happy we discovered Millstone Bakery”

“This is my wife’s review, as she and her sister visited during their short stay in Cobourg. I always will support the local coffee shops while travelling. My sister and I popped in for a beverage. I got a chai latte which was fabulous! My sister just got a tea, but the show stopper was the date square! Made by the gentleman behind the counter! The best I have ever had! This place has what you would expect from a small town coffee shop. Small crowd, all chatting amongst themselves. Nice old building feel. Great spot and would go back again! Check it out!”

Kid-friendliness: There’s not much specifically for kids but my 6 year old was happy. We just ate quick and got back on the road. It’s not the kind of place to stay and hang out with kids.”

“After having a terrible experience across the street and little ceaser I decided to come over to papa johns the atmosphere of this pizza place was unreal the young kids in the back working but also having a great time making pizza while singing along to some music was lovely to hear.
I would also like to add what wonderful customer service this establishment has. Not only was I greeted when I came in by a young man with a smile and asking me how I was and what I would like. They went above and beyond I accidentally forgot my wallet in the store. the young man returned my wallet to my home.

“Went to the Cat and Fiddle last night for dinner and drinks. I ordered a burger and fries and let me tell you I was shocked when my food arrived. The burger was so big that I had to cut it in half to eat it and the fries were thick just how I like them. The service was outstanding and I will definitely be recommending the Cat to others”
