It's a great place. Sadly there was alot of flies in the washroom that kinda turned me off. But the food is literally the best

If you can't get to England, try Captain George! Delicious fish n chips, always fresh and hot, with speedy service. We've eaten in and enjoyed it but usually takeout for convenience.
Literally the only downside is they shut early, so have to get my act together!

Severely disappointed. Stopped in on our way to the beach for take out. No napkins or cutlery in bag, no lemon and no coleslaw provided with the meal. Halibut was good, decently sized, but maybe a handful of fries which is disappointing at $25/plate! Overpriced and lacking.

A true gem, Captain George’s has always provided some of the best fish and chips no matter what town you find yourself in. But Cobourg is a real stand out in my opinion, while many have changed the recipe and modernized they have chosen to keep the food the way it was. Absolutely delicious, the flavours are exactly what I remember from my childhood and having fish suppers with my grandma. It’s timeless and fills my heart and stomach with joy. Thank you, and keep up the amazing work!

Best fish and chips in Cobourg. The staff is fantastic!!!

I am not normally a big fish lover. We go there once in awhile because my wife likes it. But lately, whatever you are doing, makes me want to get fish & chips frequently. The fish is excellent and even the fries & gravy are great. So whatever you are doing to make great fish & chips….keep doing it. Arrrrr Matey!

We stopped for lunch on our way to Prince Edward County. We were very warmly greeted. The fish and chips were very tasty. Great prices. Highly recommended
