A true gem, Captain George’s has always provided some of the best fish and chips no matter what town you find yourself in. But Cobourg is a real stand out in my opinion, while many have changed the recipe and modernized they have chosen to keep the food the way it was. I am not normally a big fish lover. We go there once in awhile because my wife likes it. But lately, whatever you are doing, makes me want to get fish & chips frequently. The fish is excellent and even the fries & gravy are great. So whatever you are doing to make great fish & chips….keep doing it. Arrrrr Matey!
Literally the only downside is they shut early, so have to get my act together!
