Best chip truck fries ever! We have visited several times and have been happy each time. Have tried their poutine, brisket, Brisket poutine, Thanksgiving poutine (INCREDIBLE) and brisket sandwich (amazing) and cannot say enough good things. We always plan to stop here when we are in Cobourg for lunch.

Brisket - 5 star. Pulled port - 5 star. Smashed burger - 4 star. Poutine - 4 star. Ribs - 5 star.

Poutine, fries could have been fire a bit more. Very soft, too much so. Slight crisp would be nice. Plenty of cheese to accommodate.

Smashed burger - it was good, but like many places, there was no uniqueness.

Brisket - moist, full flavoured. Absolute recommendation.

Pulled pork. Just the right consistency of sauce to meet. Nicely done.

Ribs - fell off the bone. Very flavourful.

Convenient location for pick up or dine outside on picnic tables.

Service was quick. Typical prices.

Ultimate question is will we return. Absolutely. Do we recommend to family and friends? Absolutely.

My husband and I were in the mood for some pulled pork and chips and we decided to do a taste test for both. I first went to Yorky’s, then stopped by Codeman’s on the way home. We’d always been a fan of Yorky’s but we have switched allegiance. The chips at Codeman’s were divine! My husband is English and he said they were like any chips you buy in the UK. High praise indeed. The pulled pork also came out on top: very juicy, flavourful, not as salty and not as sweet. Another win. So we will no longer cross over the 401 to satisfy our chips and pulled pork fix.
