Chicken was raw , there a staple in one meal and got spicy shrimp instead of garlic shrimp. Will not go back

Disappointed. I would rather drive to the Port Hope location. Portions are better, taste is better in PH. Our sweet and sour sauces were only half full, the 2 chicken we got, the flavour wasn't very strong. Tasted more like white rice with peas, carrots and chicken. Got beef and mushrooms and had to really dig for about 6 pieces of beef. General Tao was hard. Honey garlic spare ribs were about 98% bone, 1%fat and 1% meat. The only thing we did like was the beef and broccoli and the shrimp and broccoli.

Shrimp Low mien was terrible. No veggies all thick noodles with popcorn shrimp. Egg rolls were over cooked and and inside were dry. Sweet&sour chicken was good as was the beef mushrooms

The sweet and sour sauce was so runny and tasted like chlorinated water. The Cantonese chow mein was so salty it was inedible. The deep fried wantons were greasy. The fish tank was green with algae and the staff didn’t prioritize who was there first for orders.

Had a wonton soup and two egg rolls for takeout lunch First clean your windows, clean your fish tank. A dirty restaurant is not inviting. Ordered anyway. soups has gone downhill, used to have a piece or two of bbq pork at the bottom and a tasty broth. Not anymore just some frozen peas and carrots. Broth is not flavourful, wontons were good . Egg rolls are very small , greasy and overcooked. 10.34 including tax, Was it worth it, no.,

Very very small portions. Wasnt enough sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls. The sweet and sour pork had very little meat in it.

This is a shame because this used to be very good but now it is a disappointment.

Chicken balls either sat there all day or were so over cooked. Dark brown vs golden. Sweet and sour pork was discusting. Egg rolls completely over cooked. Only thing that seemed fresh was the rice. Save your money

I ordered from here and when I walked in the place was disgusting I should have canceled my order I also noticed them touching all of the food with their bare hands and then wiping on a dirty towel I honestly don't know how this place got a green pass I will never ever order from there again and I will tell everybody about it this place should not be in business and to top it off when we ate the food it all tasted like old rank oil we couldn't even eat it we threw it out listen to everybody's reviews they all say the same I should have listened to all the reviews lesson learned five star gets zero Stars!

As of today, June 15 2025, I'm changing my previous review to 5 out of 5! New Recipes! Yummy Flavors! We ordered our usually well priced Dinner for 3. I previously was not crazy about the rice and other ingredients but Today, I would whole-heartedly recommend the Dinner for 3! Tasty small grains of fried rice. Yummy and tender Beef and Broccoli! New Recipe for General Tso Chicken. Crispy Chicken Balls with Sweet and Sour Red Sauce and 3 Egg Rolls. Great Job! Great Price! For previous Customers who want to be redeemed, try Five Star again! You'll be happy as our family!

I call ahead for pickup, friendly staff, quick service, good food, good value, would definitely go again.

I ordered combo # 6 with the sesame chicken only to realize that I paid $15 for FRIED DOUGH!!! There was LITTLE TO NO CHICKEN only very tiny TINY shreds of dark meat in SOME pieces. So I decided to call to provide feedback only to be told by the female owner that this is how the chicken is made and she fries them herself. Then she asked me “what I want” because she thought I was calling for something free. The reason for the call and this review is for one purpose only- DEAR OWNERS- please care about your customers and the food that you charge and serve us. Don’t call it a meat or chicken dish and give us fried and crispy flour. PLEASE DO BETTER!

The food was undercooked. I ordered 3 different chicken dishes and ALL the chicken was super pink! They definitely rushed the order out. Maybe they were busy for family day but that’s not an excuse.
