Picked up some frozen Patty's about a month ago and chatted with the owner...we're both from Scarborough. Damn did those pattys bring me back a couple decades or more...who's counting years anyway. I unfortunately live over an hour away but will hit them up again when I'm in town again. So tasty.

my husband went in for a patty and jerk chicken. Being from Scarborough and having authentic JA food I was not willing to eat JA food from Cobourg. i tried my husbands food and went right back in to order for myself. I talked to Rohan when i went in and found out hes from scarborough too. Chatted for a bit and Ive fallen in love with their adorable family and their amazing food. I should have writen this reviews ages ago but now that i work in cobourg Im there at least once a week. I just sent my son over to get pattys and he said he spoke to Rohans teen son and he was suer nice! See you next week Jamaican Paty House!

I had heard about this lovely little spot a few times before I was in coburg and finally got a chance to try for myself. WOW. Started with the name sake patties, and certainly know how they built a business around their recipe ✨️ Perfect patties....exceptional customer service, all in a little spot with an island flair. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!! The Jamaican Patty House is awesome!! From the delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked patties to the huge portion of incredibly tender and flavorful jerk chicken with rice and peas (get extra red sauce, sorry I can't remember what it's called, they should bottle it!!!) I go every two weeks and pre-order by 1pm to ensure I get my order in. And the owner is just a lovely lady! I am so thankful I found this place.

So I'll start by saying the only thing we got were patties and Ting (both flavours)! The people working were here are very friendly and welcoming. The gentleman even used to work at the resort we were at in Jamaica this past spring. The lady we dealt with was super friendly as well. Originally, I bought one patty, and had to go back for 2 more and 2 drinks. They were stuffed full and delicious. Reminded me of being back in Jamaica they were that good. You would need to go to Scarborough to find patties this good in Ontario so for a small town, you are very lucky to have this business in your downtown core. Great work. We can't wait to come back and try the other dishes they serve! See you soon.

A Hidden Gem!
I had an amazing experience at Jamaican Patty House! I ordered the rice and peas with oxtail, and everything was absolutely on point. The portion size was generous, the rice was fresh, and the oxtail was incredibly tender — perfectly cooked with no excess fat, just pure flavor.
I also grabbed a spicy patty, and it was packed with flavor and the right amount of heat. You can tell they use quality ingredients and care about what they serve!
I’ll definitely be a frequent customer going forward. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving authentic Jamaican comfort food done right!
