Came here for the first time today, won't ever be returning again. The owner of this establishment ruined the entire experience. His attitude is one of bitterness, dismissiveness and, genuine apathy for you as a customer.

He literally makes you feel like you're the reason he's having a bad day. You get much better service at the McDonald's next door...or just about anywhere else in the world. Skip this place!

Amazing food as always

One of my all-time top 3 pho spots in Toronto. 13 years ago, this was where I had my very first bowl of pho after arriving in Canada — and I still remember how comforting it was. Today, even with sky-high inflation, their prices remain incredibly fair, and there’s no tipping required. It’s rare to see a place stay so consistent in both quality and value. This five-star review is long overdue. Thank you for being part of my journey all these years.

I have been eating here every week and the food is so delicious. So many options to try from and the food is made quickly and service is on point.

Make sure to order the beef fried rice noodles!!!

This was my very first time trying this restaurant and I ordered the lemongrass chicken. I enjoyed it so much, the chicken was so tender, moist and flavourful and adding the hoisin sauce onto the chicken which the staff suggested was amazing. Every bite of the meal was enjoyable. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend people go there and try out their food.

Go here if you like big portions of amazing food made fast. The atmosphere is low-key and friendly.

We're tired of paying too much for too little. We're tired of bad customer service. This man was NICE. In this world a little kindness goes a long way. Plus, that food was perfect!

We WILL be back.

From the moment I stepped into Saigon Express, I was transported—not just to another restaurant, but to a bustling street corner in the heart of Vietnam. This place doesn’t just serve food—it tells a story with every bite.

I started with the beef pho, and let me tell you, the broth alone deserves its own standing ovation. Deep, rich, and lovingly simmered, it felt like something only a grandmother could perfect over hours. The noodles were silky, the beef tender, and the fresh herbs brought everything to life. Each spoonful warmed my soul.

But the true showstopper? The grilled lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. Perfectly charred, smoky, with that citrusy kick of lemongrass that lingered on the palate just long enough to make you crave the next bite. Topped with crunchy peanuts, pickled carrots, and a splash of fish sauce—it was a harmony of texture and flavor I won’t soon forget.

The service? Impeccable. Kind, attentive, and fast without ever feeling rushed. Even during the lunch rush, the staff made sure every customer felt like a guest of honor.

Saigon Express isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to savor, to remember, and to come back to time and time again. Five stars, no question. If you’re searching for a spot that delivers authentic Vietnamese cuisine with heart and soul, Saigon Express is it.

Food is great. Price is fair. Down to earth atmosphere. Nothing fancy. I’d recommend them.

Nice place for a quick lunch. Rice noodle soup is good. Saigon fried rice noodle is also delicious, with shrimp and chicken. Big portion, reasonable price. (Many items are $13)

Used to be much better but has gone downhill. Owner always give me attitude for a regular customer.
There are so many higher end Pho places, cleaner, that has better soup base in Scarborough and even in Markham. I will retire from eating from this place, it use to be one of my favorites.

Dont mind that Price have gone up but the food quality has gone down. So sad
