Found this hidden gem on our way through town, and I’m so glad we did!
We had the guacamole, the flank steak tacos, the pulled pork tacos, and the brisket tacos!
The tacos were 10/10. So flavourful!!
We had Macey as our waitress and she was a sweetheart, and had recommend those 3 flavours to try.
Thanks again! We will be back if we pass through again! :)

I went to this restaurant today after my first two choices were closed. I ordered bocaditas. Three choices, guacamole, Pico de gallo, and mango salsa. The guac and Pico needed salt. The mango salsa was fermented. When the server came by to ask how everything was, I told her that the mango salsa was bad. She apologized and said she'd tell the kitchen.
My main course was the carne asada. The menu description said flank steak sous vide to medium rare, then seared in a cast iron pan with butter, served with chili potatoes and green onions.
The potatoes like the mango salsa were disgusting, the steak never saw the inside of any pan. It was completely unseared but unfortunately covered in sauce which did lend a brown color. The green onions were best left for the garbage.
The server who was very professional, attentive, and helpful, didn't charge for the steak but did charge for the three salsas.
I went to this restaurant because it appeared to have good reviews. Maybe there was a new chef or some problems in the kitchen. These things happen. I would not recommend eating here. The potatoes and the salsa were both spoiled and in any restaurant that should never happen. As a former chef, you always check to make sure your food, which many times is made the day before or 2 days before is still good.
Give it a pass.

My family and I came here from out of town on a Saturday. It was around 2pm when we got seated on the patio for 6 guests. It was somewhat busy.
After we got our drinks and food order in, the drinks came out first then our 3 salsa dips.
This was where we started to get a bit antsy because our main didn’t come out about 25 mins. Then my sister order got messed up with the wrong taco. We had to asked for the sauce platter when we saw the server brought it out to other tables and not us. We didn’t get water as well.
But the tacos were good as per my sisters said and the deep fried burrito was interesting but a bit dried and lack in flavours.

The service was friendly and quick, but the food was horrible. The portion size was very small. There were a few of us in the party, and everyone left still feeling hungry. The food also wasn’t great tasting. I’ve had plenty of Mexican food in the past, and this place tasted inauthentic and bland. My friend and I got a cocktail each, and it was so sour it was almost undrinkable. Would not go back.

We came from out of town and were drawn to the patio and aesthetic. The food was absolutely delicious! My husband and I travel to Mexico often and it was just like eating in Tulum. The cocktails were yummy and a generous pour.
We sat on the patio as it was very warm inside. They did have fans going so I am note sure if there was an a/c issue. We will definitely go back for more.

This place was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible, the gentleman who served us was great. (I beleive he was the owner) we had a table of 7 and everything arrived at the same time. Cocktails were great and the decor in this place is very much instagram worthy. I will be back again.

Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Treatment of Families
A few years ago, this restaurant refused to serve us because the owner or manager instructed the staff to tell us all seats were reserved when we spoke to waitress and was wait for a table to be clean up, simply because we had three kids with us. Hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt, we tried dining there again. Unfortunately, the owner or manager gave us the same dirty look as before, clearly uncomfortable with us bringing kids. We didn’t even bother waiting and left to eat elsewhere.
For comparison, we went to The Buttermilk cafe, where the service was friendly and welcoming. It’s disappointing to see such poor treatment of families at this restaurant
If your a family with kids don't even bother including this restaurant on your list.

The waitresses here were super kind and friendly! My only issue was the owner of the restaurant itself. I had a friend visiting from outside of town and we decided to get dinner here hoping for a laid back experience. Instead, my friend was repeatedly touched and harassed throughout the duration of the dinner by the owner. Both she and I were very blunt with our discomfort and he continued to sit in our personal space trying to flirt and make unnecessary small talk. The age difference between us was also at least 20 plus years. The cigarette addiction was also a bit excessive. Cigarette smoke was being blown in our direction every five minutes. I will most definitely not be returning due to his creepy nature. Don’t go here if you’re young and a woman.

We went here when it first opened with the limited menu and it was delicious! Finally got to come back again tonight and the food is even better then I remembered! Spicy Margarita was so good and the Carne Asada (flank steak) taco was so delicious, but then again every taco was amazing! Service was awesome and the management did us a huge favor I will never forget! Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely amazing first experience. We will be back!! All the rumours are true. Authentic Mexican flavours with a great atmosphere! My boyfriend (hot sauce obsessed) really enjoyed the chef’s special hot sauce…good to the last drop! 🥵 😂
My husband and I checked out Tezca after friends recommended it and it did not disappoint! We did the taco and tequila flights with a margarita each. The tacos are unbelievable. Incredible. They offered a selection of hot sauces and the mango hot sauce on the brisket taco was possibly the best taco I have ever eaten in my life- and I’ve eaten a LOT of tacos. We will be making this a regular date night spot 👏🏻
Honey Pear Margarita, it will change your life! Food was wonderful. A great pre theatre stop!

We made the trip from Peterborough to Cobourg based on a family member's recommendation. DEFINITELY worth the trip and looking forward to our next road trip to Tezca. Fresh, Flavours and Service (thanks Mike) were impeccable. And you must top it off with their desserts. You will not be disappointed.
