The best gnnochi I've ever had

Ate there last night for our anniversary. Had a great meal (I had the gnocchi with truffle sauce, and my wife had the trout special). We started with the polenta fries, absolutely delicious. My gnocchi was like little pillows. Finished off with a creme brulee and sticky toffee cake. Both delicious. Our server was a polite, attentive and knowledgable older gentlemen. Service was excellent. The lighting was perfect (some places have it too harsh on your face), and the noise was low, we could actually talk. Would highly recommend.

255 is one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Vaughan! I’ve been here a few times and have been impressed every single visit. My go-to dishes are the ricotta-stuffed gnocchi in rosé sauce (truly to die for) and the rigatoni in truffle sauce — both incredible. The 255 martini is also delicious!

The customer service is always excellent, and the ambience is warm and inviting. I visited around Christmas and loved the beautiful lights and festive décor. Highly recommend!

We arrived at the restaurant at 8:45 PM, but our food didn’t arrive until 10:15 PM — not even appetizers were served earlier. Waiting an hour and a half for food at such a nice restaurant is simply unacceptable. Even the drinks took around 30 minutes to arrive after ordering.

This excessive wait time completely ruined what could have been a great dining experience. The food itself was very good and fresh, and we truly enjoyed it once it finally came. However, it was clear that the restaurant was extremely understaffed — both the kitchen and the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and unable to keep up.

When visiting a restaurant of this level, you expect at least decent service, and unfortunately, that was not the case here

Food is very fresh with homemade dishes.
This is not some “chain” place. It is very delicious Italian cuisine.

Had the beef carpaccio, Caesar Salad, and seafood linguine. DELICIOUS

Hands down the best Italian I’ve had in a while. The truffle rigatoni, stuffed gnocchi in rose sauce, and bruschetta were all bomb. Make sure to have their tiramisu as well! Staff were super friendly, and the owner even came by to check on everyone - such a nice touch. Great atmosphere and amazing food, can’t wait to go back.

Birthday dinner. We were so excited to come and left so disappointed and were sick the next day.
The service was non existent -only when we were ready to order. The server was very nice but the meal took a long time to come and no one checked in with us.
The food was bland and the coffee was burnt.
Honestly, we couldn't wait to leave and opted for no dessert.
