It was my 1st time my husband and I came here. The restaurant secluded in a quiet area. Predictably, we were they only customers when we arrived, which made me suspicious about their food :)). But eventually, people came in. We order Panang curry, Nam Khao, and Chicken/Shrimp Pad SaEw. Overall, their taste were fine.Panang Curry: Although the beef was cooked just right, the broth was lacking in savory richness.Nam Khao: nice dish with crispy coconut rice and sour pork. If you are a hot chiliphile like me, you're going to enjoy their roasted pepper. But be careful, you might choke because of the chili power inside.Pad See Ew: was surprisingly tasty. I don't know how they make their noodle so rich and chewy. On top of that, the dish had its wok hay. Highly recommended.Coconut milk shake was a big minus for the whole meal. The only smell that I had was milk, barely scene any coconuts.Service is so so, the staff were kind of indifference.
Food was good.Attentive service and clean atmosphere. The appetizer was great. It was my first time trying the crispy coconut rice with sour pork (R4), it was interesting, crunchy and savory with a bit of sour kick. My friend liked it.
Enjoyed their Satay and spring rolls. Signature stir fry, Cashew stir, panang curry all were delicious. Perfect temperature and spice. friendly service. Very reasonably billed.
Chicken grilled is just right, not too dry. Satay sauce has a subtle hint of peanut taste which complemented the grilled chicken perfectly.Coconut crispy rice with lime pork is very tasty. A hint of lemon grass is present in the taste. If you're allergic to peanuts, make sure you tell them as there are lots of peanuts in the food.
The food was great, had the chef’s spicy specialty. The amount of food was massive. Good value and friendly service. Will be back.
It was our first time there, not really impressed, disorganised, brought other customers food to our table three times. The customer service was absolutely zero and food was ok but no flavours at all. We had to ask for extra condiments/ sauce to go with our food.
This place is off the beaten path but I really enjoyed the chicken/shrimp Pad Thai and the soya noodles here. The Pad Thai was my favorite though. I enjoyed the food quality here. Check it out.
We park our vehicle at 407 to travel downtown to work and notice this restaurant many times when we drive home. Honestly, it is never on our plan to try because I used to work in a Thai restaurant back in college. Somehow when we try to go to a nearby restaurant and they closed, then Arroy Thai is less than 5 minutes away so we decide to give it a try.The restaurant is small and clean. The food is delicious which makes me kind of surprised and I would like to come back again in the future for more Thai foods. Not sure if any other place is better but so far this is the best Thai restaurant in Vaughan city.
I came here expecting mediocre Thai food, since my experience with Thai cuisine in the GTA has been disappointing as a fellow South East Asian. However, I was impressed by my dining experience at Arroy Thai. The portions here were generous, including salads such as the mango salad. The mango salad did not cut corners by serving underwhelming amount of shredded mango, which Intrigued me. The green curry was packed with flavour, spicy kick and an array of vegetables which easily fed 2 people at ease, although it required an extra plate of rice. I was very impressed by the green curry, it is the best one I’ve had in the GTA thus far. At the same time, the mango sticky rice was generously served too with a perfect balanced of coconut cream poured on the sticky rice that once again made it easily shareable between 2 people.Despite us eating past the closing time on a busy Sunday night, the staff did not loosen their hospitality or service to our table. We had dined in just 30minutes shy of their closing time, yet they were more than happy to serve us.The total bill for all the dishes mentioned here including an extra plate of rice was $33, a very reasonable price for Thai cuisine when most Thai restaurants out there are charging slightly premium prices for mediocre or sub par food.I will definitely be returning to Arroy Thai multiple times to try their other Thai classics.
Just ok.The food here, at least what we had, was pretty much passable. Since we didn’t choose a plate that was spicy, what we got was pretty much as bland as it gets. So, here comes the bottle of sriracha - yea, the one you have at home. Again, nothing special here.Service, considering the restaurant was empty, was meh. Empty water, no hot sauce on the table, no staff no in sight so I had to go ask for it… you get the picture.
Authentic Thai food served with a smile in a casual setting. I admit I've become picky when it comes to restaurants. Like many, I leveled up my culinary skills in the lockdown. So, when we go out to eat, I expect it to better than what I can make at home. I'm not one to care much about ambience or atmosphere. I think you create that with the company around you. To me, a restaurant needs to have amazing food and kind service, everything else is secondary. Arroy delivers. The food is well seasoned, perfectly cooked and had the elusive 'wok hay' that would make Uncle Roger smile.
Some of the best Thai food we have had in a restaurant. Right off the highway, it's perfect for stopping on the way home on road trips - we plan our traveling around eating here. 10/10 will come again. Lemongrass soup and sticky rice with peanut sauce are a MUST. Tried the Green Curry and Drunken Noodle today - incredible. Clean. Great service. Good sized portions.
Was looking for a restaurant near IKEA and tried this place out. It's location is a little random. The place was very minimally decorated but overall nice and clean. We tried their pad thai and drunken noodles which were really good. There was nobody else in the restaurant when we visited so service was quick and our serve was really nice. Would have loved to see drink options on their menu though.
The food here was so good!!! I ordered the Tom yum soup with rice noodles and it was delicious! The soup was rich in flavour, not too spicy and the shrimps were perfectly cooked. My mom got the pineapple fried rice and that was also bomb! We also ordered the fried wonton, shrimp rice rolls, mango sticky rice and my siblings got their pad Thai. Everything was delicious and the place was very clean! Our server was also super friendly. Definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!
Ordered panang curry with rice. The curry was watery with more water and less coconut milk. Will never order again from this place. Photo attached.
