The service was good, but brief due to just going in for takeout. The pork souvlaki and tzatziki were enjoyable, yet the rice and potatoes lacked some flavour and the salad was sparse in toppings.I knew it was somewhat expensive going in but after seeing what I got, it was definitely overpriced ($32 for a large pork souvlaki dinner - difference is that the large dinner is 12oz of meat and regular is 8oz). Overall, hesitant to return, especially for takeout.

Liars Liars and are convinced they are right. They sent the wrong order and when told about it gave them the order number they said skip the dishes picked it up from somewhere else. Have proof of Astoria Shish Kebob House location 3300 Rutherford. First time ordering from here and spend $124.00 on 2 dinners plus extras. Beware everyone.
The food is fresh, plenty in the dish and well cooked. Good quality.

We visited the Newmarket location for my Birthday. Truly a lovely atmosphere, fantastic friendly service from all the staff. The food was so delicious. The meat is so incredibly tender and tasty. Generous portions as well. Will definetly visit again. Thank you for a lovely evening and memorable celebration with family. I have been coming here since 2017. This was a favourite of mine for many years unfortunately the service is not as good as it used to be. The portion sizes are also considerably smaller than what they used to be. Saganaki and calamari has not been up to the standard it usually is the last three visits.
Edit: The owner responded to my review asking me to email them to address my experience. It's been a week since I sent an email and still no response. Don't tell me to email you if you're not even going to respond. What a disappointment. Lowering my review to 1 star.Been coming here for years. The pork souvlaki is usually always on point, I’ll give them credit for that, but we noticed the appetizers are super stingy and not very good anymore.I actually have pics from over a year ago compared to my most recent experience where it’s evident they give way less now. They’re even stingy with the bread while our bill is nearly $200…I don’t know if it’s new management or what but we’ll def try another Astoria location next time.
